    Mrs. Harry Vander Steen, Ma ry Romenesko, age 85, died Monday December 21st, 1992 at Parkside Care Cen ter following a lengthy illness. She was born August 27th, 1907 in Freedo m, the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Conrad) Romenesko. She marri ed Harry Vander Steen on October 2nd, 1928 in Freedom. Mary and Harry own ed and operated Stoney's Bar in Kaukauna until 1968. She was a memb er of St. Mary Catholic Church, their Altar Society, American Legion un it 41 Auxiliary and the VFW 3319 Auxiliary. She is survived by four so ns and three daughters in law, Clifford and Diane Vander Steen, of Menash a; Eugene (Stony) and Angie Vander Steen, Jerry and Carol Vander Steen; T om Vander Steen all of Kaukauna; also survived by 11 grandchildren: Kevi n, Lucy (Mike) Schuman and Chris Vander Steen, Sue VanTheil; Tom, Kevin (W endy) and Amy Vander Steen; Jill, Mark (Vickie), Lisa and June Vander Stee n; 20 great-grandchildren; a brother and two sisters in law, Clement and A lice Romenesko, Appleton; Ruth Romenesko, Fla.; a sister and two brothe rs in law: Lillian Vandynhoven, of Kaukauna; Nicholas (Harriet) Thurne r, of Little Chute. Al Endres, Iola. She was preceded in death by her hu sband, Harry in 1976; a son, Harry Jr., a grandson Dan, in March 1992, a g reat-grandson, Kevin Jr., two brothers: John and Walter Romenesko; four si sters: Mathilda Hietpas, Pauline Endres, Gladys Thurner, Florence Vandynho ven. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Cathol ic Church, Kaukauna with Father Ron Lhott officiating. Burial wi ll be in St. Mary's cemetery, Kaukauna.

The funeral liturgy for Stony will be held on Monday, September 3, 2007, at 5:00 pm at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL - ST MARY'S SITE, 119 W. Seventh St., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating.     Eugene Van Der Steen, of Kaukauna, age 75, died on Thursday, August 30, 2007, at Brewster Village. He was born March 24, 1932, in Little Chute, the son of the late Harold and Mary (Romenesko) Van Der Steen. On August 27, 1953, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna, he married Angela De Goey. Stony served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was the owner and operator of Van Der Steen Electric for over 40 years. Stony was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna American Legion Post 41 and Kaukauna Electric City VFW Post 3319. He enjoyed the Packers, camping at Berry Lake and woodworking. Stony loved spending time with family and friends and his grandchildren all have a "treasure" that grandpa made in his workshop.
    He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years: Angela Van Der Steen, Kaukauna; children: Sue Van Thiel, Ken (Wendy) Van Der Steen and Amy (Dan) Doolittle, all of Kaukauna; daughter-in-law: Tina (Rob) Romportl, Kaukauna; 16 grandchildren: Ryan (Becky), Alyssa (fiance Mark) and Brett (special friend Sam) Van Thiel; Jennifer, Michelle, David and Steven Van Der Steen; Billy, Tyler, Cody, Danny and Kaylyn Van Der Steen; Leah and Eric Van Der Steen; Michelle and Kyle Doolittle; 3 brothers: Clifford (Diane) Van Der Steen, Menasha; Jerry (Carol) and Tom Van Der Steen, both of Kaukauna. Stony is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Dan and Tom Van Der Steen.

    Thomas Van Der Steen, "Stony", Kaukauna, age 75 passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Atrium Acute Care, Little Chute. He was born on November 22, 1940 in Kaukauna, WI son of the late Harry and Mary (Romenesko) Van Der Steen. Stony was an Army Veteran and served as a paratrooper in Germany. He was employed at Miller Electric where he retired from after 27 years.
    He is survived by his brothers: Clifford (Diane), Menasha and Jerry (Carol), Kaukauna; numerous nieces, nephews, and special friends, Cassidy and Andrea. He was preceded in death by his brother, Eugene in 2007; 2 nephews: Daniel in 1992 and Tomas in 2000.
    Funeral services for Stony will be at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2016 at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating.     Jesse L. Van Der Steen, Appleton, age 23, died unexpectedly on Wednesday December 6, 2006, as a result of a car accident. Jesse was born January 4, 1983, to Kevin and Patricia (Krueger) Van Der Steen in Appleton. Jesse attended grade school in Appleton and Grand Rapids, MI. He completed his schooling at Forest Hills High School and Kaukauna High School. Jesse worked at Sturm Foods as a forklift driver. He will be remembered for his easy going friendly personality and his genuine smile. Jesse enjoyed playing baseball, Basketball, wake boarding, jet skiing, rafting, fishing, camping and shooting pool. He was well know throughout the Fox Cities and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
    He is survived by his mother, Patricia (Jon) Horn; his father, Kevin (Judy) Van Der Steen and their children, Kelton Hatton and Sandy (Kenny) Hatton; his sister, Stephanie (Jake) Heaton and her daughter, Serena; grandparents, Mary Krueger; Clifford ( Diane) Van Der Steen; and Al (Shirley) Horn. He is further survived by aunts and uncles: Chris Van Der Steen, Lucy (Mike) Schumann, Georgia (Terry) Riggles, Mike (Chris) Krueger, Dave Krueger, Christine (Larry) Krueger, Mary Sue (William) Carlson, Stephanie (Jim) Mikl, Rachel (Brad) Nolan and Mark Horn as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his brother, Kevin K. Van Der Steen, his grandfather, Leo E. Krueger and his aunt, Katherine Horn
    Jesse's Memorial Mass will be 11 a.m., on Wednesday, December 13, 2006, at the HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH 309 Desnoyer Street in Kaukauna, with Fr. Jack T. Mullarkey officiating. Friends will be received on Wednesday, at Church from 10 a.m., until the time of service. Viewing and visitation for Jesse will be SUNDAY, December 10, 2006, from Noon until a 4 p.m. prayer service to end the evening at BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Drive, Kaukauna.     Miah M. Van Der Steen, Kaukauna, age 13 died peacefully on Sunday, June 11, 2017 at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born October 9, 2003 in Appleton, WI daughter of Jason Van Der Steen and the late Jaime Petrie and also her adoptive mother, the late Ann "Anni" Van Der Steen. Miah was an "A" Student of the 7th grade at Riverview Middle School in Kaukauna. She participated in many sports, such as track, horseback riding, hunting and fishing. Miah enjoyed spending time with her siblings Ava and Jacob and her extended family and friends.
    She is survived by her father, Jason Van Der Steen; sister, Ava, brother, Jacob, both at home; grandparents: Mark Van Der Steen (special friend April), Vickie Miller (special friend Rob),Bruce (Mickey) Petrie, Jacque Dresang, and Dave (Mary) Halbach; great-grandparents: Carol (Jerry) Van Der Steen, Paul (Eileen) Petrie, Marie Miller, and Berniece Young; three uncles and an aunt: Paul (fiancée Kristen), Jay, Gary, and Angie (Ed) Gonnering. She is further survived by numerous other friends and relatives.
    She was preceded in death by her mothers: Jaime Petrie and Anni Van Der Steen; grandfather, Al Young, great-grandfathers: Jerome Miller and Ronald Young, great-grandparents: Bob and Evelyn Hopfensperger.
    Funeral services for Miah will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. MARY CHURCH, 119 West Seventh St., Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Friends may call directly at church on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. Boettcher Family Funeral Home, Kaukauna is assisting the family.
