    Obituary:
    LeMere, Marion A.
    Marion A. LeMere, Appleton, age 93, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 20, 2008, at Appleton Health Care Center. Marion was born in Kaukauna on November 22, 1915, to the late Joseph and Agnus (Collete) Monday. On May 26, 1933, she was united in marriage to Oswald H. LeMere. The couple enjoyed 54 years together until his death on September 30, 1987. Together, they raised three children. Marion had devoted herself to her growing family. She will be remembered as a great cook, and also how she baked cookies and bread for her grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing cards, bingo, and dancing a mean polka.
    Marion is survived by her three children: Clayton LeMere, Winneconne; Michael (Margret) LeMere, Tustin; and Darlene (Thomas) Lyons, Appleton; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-randchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind four brothers: George Monday, Black Creek; Anthony (Lois) Monday, Neenah; Joseph (Janice) Monday, Green Bay; and Louis (JoAnn) Monday, Kaukauna; two sisters: Antoinette Gossens, Neenah, and Janice Cornielious, California; a brother in law: Pat Rochon. She is further survived by many nieces and nephews.
    Marion was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Michael and John; three sisters: Josephine Haefs, Margaret Haefs, and Marlene Rochon; four brothers in law: Richard Haefs, Lawrence Haefs, Merlyn Cornielious, and Norbert Gossens; a sister in law, Lois Monday; two daughters in law: Ceil LeMere and Doris LeMere; and three grandsons: Greg LeMere, Randy LeMere, and Michael LeMere.
    A Memorial Service for Marion will be held 11 a.m. Monday, December 29, 2008, at the Brettschneider-Trettin-Lederer Funeral Chapel, with Deacon Patrick Whitcomb officiating. Friends may visit the family at the funeral chapel from 10 a.m. Monday until the time of service. Inurnment will take place at the Town of Bovina Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Marion's name.
    The family would like to offer their sincere thanks to everyone at Greenville Manor and Appleton Health Care Center. Your compassion and care was wonderful, and you gave mom a beautiful place to spend the final days of her life. We will always be grateful for all you have done for mom and for our family.

    George E. Monday, Black Creek, formerly of Wabeno, passed away peacefully at Colony Oaks Care Center on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at the age of 85. George was born in Kaukauna on October 1, 1923, to the late Joseph and Agnes (Collette) Monday. He was united in marriage to Lois Mae Casper Ziemer on February 25, 1945. She was the glue that held the family together. Lois preceded him in passing on September 23, 1983.
    George was employed at the Kimberly-Clark mill in Kimberly until bad health forced his retirement in 1976. He was also an experienced handyman and could fix just about anything. He loved doing woodworking and making clocks.
    George is survived by his three children: Linda (Tom) Young Appleton; Pat Gonzalez, Wild Rose; Rick Monday, Black Creek and four grandchildren. He is further survived by three brothers: Anthony (Lois) Monday, Neenah; Joseph (Janice) Monday, Green Bay and Louis (JoAnn) Monday, Kaukauna; two sisters: Antoinette Gossens, Neenah and Janice Cornielious, California; brother-in-law: Pat Rochon. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    In addition to his wife, Lois, George was preceded in death by two brothers: Michael and John Monday; four sisters: Marion LeMere, Josephine Haefs, Margaret Haefs and Marlene Rochon; four brothers-in-law: Richard Haefs, Lawrence Haefs, Merlyn Cornielious and Norbert Gossens.
    The memorial service for George will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2009, at WICHMANN FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN CHAPEL with Deacon Maury Reed officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in his name.
    The family would like to offer their sincere thanks to every one at Colony Oaks Care Center and Heartland Hospice for their kindness and skill in making Dad comfortable during his final days.

    Anthony H. Monday, age 84, of Menasha, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August 18, 2009, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Tony was born on June 15, 1925, in Appleton, to the late Joseph A. and Agnes (Collette) Monday. He married Lois A. Landskron on October 21, 1946, at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Menasha. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps during W.W. II and was awarded the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. Tony served with the National Guard, 32nd Division, during the Cuban Missle Crisis. He worked for Stumpf Ford for over 40 years, retiring on June 15, 1990.
    Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lois; his daughters: Sharon (Gene) Erdmann; Charlotte Seager and her friend Roger Worm; Lynn Monday; his son, Anthony G. (Diane) Monday; his only grandson, Robert Seager; and his three great grand daughters, Deborah, Nicole and Isabella. He is further survived by his brothers: Joseph (Janice) Monday, Louis (JoAnn) Monday and his two sisters: Antoinette Gossens and Janice Cornielious; his brother-in-law, Pat Rochon; and his sister-in-law, June Landskron. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.
    Tony was preceded in death by his infant son, Joseph, his brothers John (Joyce) Monday, George (Lois) Monday, and Michael Monday; his four sisters: Marion (Ozwald) LeMere, Josephine (Richard) Haefs, Margaret (Lawrence) Haefs, and Marlene Rochon; and his brothers-in-law: Merlyn Cornielious, Norbert Gossens, Robert (Elaine) Landskron and William Landskron; and his sister-in-law, Betty Bartel.
    Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. on Friday, August 21, 2009, at WICHMANN— TRI-COUNTY CHAPEL, Menasha, with Fr. Larry Canavera officiating. Friends may call directly at the Tri-County Chapel on Friday from 2 p.m. until the time of services. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in the Town of Menasha.
    The family would like to thank Dr. Anthony Philips and his staff for everything they did for Dad. They would also like to send a special thanks to the staff at ThedaCare Hospice for everything they did to help Dad in his last days. They are the angels that walk on this earth. A memorial has been established in Tony's name.

    Neenah - Anthonette "Toni" Gossens, age 86, of Neenah, passed away on Friday, August 3, 2018 after a battle with cancer. Toni was born on September 7, 1931 daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes (Collett) Monday. Toni was married to Herb Schmidt for 16 years and they had two children, Robert and Kim. She married Norb Gossens on August 20, 1973 and he preceded her in death on March 8, 2006. Toni worked for Kimberly Clark for many years as a Research Engineer. She enjoyed golfing, gambling and going to Florida for the winter with her good friend Eunice Wilson. Toni is survived by her son, Robert (Jackie) Schmidt, her daughter, Kim (Dave) Jacob, 12 grandchildren, Matt (Elise), Jesse and Nikki Schmidt. Christopher, Michael (Ashley), Jason, Nicole, Cody, Jennifer, Stephanie and Ryan Jacob and Cheri (Justin) Walsh. 6 great-grandchildren, a brother, Joseph (Jan) Monday, step-daughters, Barbara Havel, Janet Weiss, Gwen Pociask; step-sons, John, Dave, Tim and Don Gossens, and also her good friend Eunice Wilson. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Marion LeMere, Midge Haefs, Janis Cornelius, Marlene Rochon, and Josephine Haefs; and her brothers, John, George, Ben, Tony and Michael Monday and step-son Bob Gossens.
    Memorial services will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the Kessler Funeral Home, 304 S. Commercial St., Neenah. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. A memorial is being established.

    MONDAY, LOUIS B. "BEN" - Louis B. Monday, age 77, passed away at his home in Kaukauna on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. He was born on September 5, 1934, in Kaukauna, the son of the late Joseph and Agnes (Collett) Monday. Ben served his country in the Korean War and was in the Army for six years. He worked for Wisconsin Natural Gas Company (now WE Energies) for 37 years. Ben's happiest days were living in Pickerel. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, walking in the woods with his dog Sparky, and putting around the lake on his pontoon.
    Ben has three children: Tim (Anne) Monday; Scott (Pam) Monday and Karen (special friend Glenn) Monday; two grandchildren: Christopher (Shannon) Monday and Jennifer Monday.
    In 1975, Ben married Virginia Klinke and has four step-children; Dennis, Danny, Donny and Danette Burke; granddaughter, Michelle and two step-great grandchildren, Tori and Taylor Ernest.
    In 1990, he married Joanne (Liebhauser) Feistel and has three step-children: Julianne (Tim) Resch; Dan (Rosanne) Feistel and Patrick (special friend Mercedes) Feistel; four very special grandchildren: Brandon Feistel; Michael and Matthew Resch; and Tyler Feistel.
    Ben is further survived by his brother: Joseph (Janice) Monday; sisters: Antoinette Gossens and Janice Cornelius; sisters-in-law: Lois Monday; Janet (Brian) Cupp; Sally (Art) Gauthier and LuAnn (Clem) Reimer; and brothers-in-law: Pat (Anna) Rochon; Dan (Cher) Liebhauser and Dave (Carol) Liebhauser. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Ben was preceded in death by his wife: Virginia Monday; four brothers: John (Joyce) Monday; George (Lois) Monday; Tony Monday and Michael Monday; four sisters: Marianne (Oswald) LeMere; Josephine (Richard) Hoef; Margaret (Lawrence) Hoef and Marlene Rochon.
    The funeral liturgy for Ben will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at HOLY CROSS CATHOLIC CHURCH , 309 Desnoyer Street, Kaukauna. Fr. Tom Pomeroy will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday at the church from 2:00 pm until the time of mass.     Darlene Lyons, 72, of Appleton passed away at home comforted by her family, on Tuesday May 13, 2014. She was born in Kaukauna, February 2, 1942, daughter of the late Oswald and Marion LeMere. Dolly married Thomas H. Lyons on September 29, 1962.
    Dolly worked in the paper product industry until retiring in 2004. She enjoyed spending time camping up north and quality time with family and friends. Dolly also enjoyed humming birds, and watching her favorite soap operas.
    Dolly is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Tom; two daughters, Dorene (Dan) Hegner, Black Creek, and Denene Malone, Appleton; two sons, Thomas (Dawn), Freedom, and Todd (Terra), Appleton; eight grandchildren, Dan, Don, Darryl, Stephene, Shelia, Brianna, Felicia, and Greg; five great grandchildren, Emma, Ellie, Isabella, Colt, and Aaliyah; she is further survived by her brother Clayton (Lola) LeMere; sister-in-law, Margret LeMere; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.     Brock Calmes, age 28 of Dale, died unexpectedly of a blood clot on Monday May 14, 2012 in Spooner, WI. Brock was born on October 17, 1983, in Appleton, WI, to Nick and Deb (Rochon) Calmes. He worked as a Fisheries Technician in Wisconsin and Idaho. He was at his best hawking in the stands for the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. No one could miss the sound of his booming voice resonating throughout the stadium. He was loved by both young and old in the stands.
    Brock loved the outdoors. He spent many hours volunteering at Mosquito Hill Nature Preserve, winning the Cliff and Jean Braeger Volunteer Award. He loved both deer and waterfowl hunting and sturgeon spearing. In addition, he would participate in South Dakota's Spring snow goose hunting season. In Readfield, he enjoying shooting trap.
    He was an active 4H member in his school years. Winning many ribbons and Grand Champion ribbons. He attended 4H camp where he was loved as a camper and as a camp counselor.
    Brock is survived by his parents, his sister Fran (Mitchel) Wayne, grandfather Patrick (Anna) Rochon, Aunts and Uncles: Victor (Lynn) Calmes, Willard Jr. (Stephanie) Calmes, Daniel Calmes, Mary (Tim Quintal) Calmes, Arthur Rochon, and many other family and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Georgia Rochon; his paternal grandparents, Willard and Viola Calmes; his maternal grandmother, Marlene Rochon; an aunt, Kathleen Calmes; and cousin, Matthew Calmes.
    As seen in The Post-Crescent, a Celebration of Brock's Life will take place Wednesday, May 23, 2012 from 6-9pm at the Time Warner Cable Field at Fox Cities Stadium.
    Brock was a tissue donor, and he lives on through this precious gift to others.
    Brock, we all love you and will remember you. You were one hell of a guy.
