    Marvin "Red"J. Vanden Heuvel, 87, of Green Bay, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015, with his wife, Adele, and six surviving children at his side. He was born in Green Bay on August 25, 1927, to Albert and Margaret (Lewins) Vanden Heuvel. On September 11, 1948, Marvin married Adele Verhaagh at St. John the Baptist Church in Duck Creek, Wisconsin. Marvin served his country in World War II in the United States Army Air Corps. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He was employed by the City of Green Bay as a Part's Technician. Marvin was an active member of the Nativity of Our Lord Parish and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the American Legion, the Wisconsin Catholic Order of Foresters and the Roberts Lake Association.
    In addition to spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Marvin's interests included his cottage in Wabeno, Wisconsin, the Green Bay Packers, of which he was a shareholder and avid fan, Little League coaching for over 30 years, playing sports with the kids, playing cards with family and friends and driving the family's Model A.
    Marvin is survived by his wife of 66 years, Adele, his children, Linda (Dan Dineen) Vanden Heuvel, Mark (Susan) Vanden Heuvel, Jeffrey (Cathy O'Connor) Vanden Heuvel, Timothy (Mary) Vanden Heuvel, Lisa (Charles Pignotti) Vanden Heuvel, and Henry (Lisa) Vanden Heuvel; ten grandchildren, Aaron Vanden Heuvel, Andrea (John) Leszko, Jennifer (Timothy) Richter, Daniel (Alicia) Dineen, Nathan (Melanie Hanson) Dineen, Mitchell Pignotti, Maxwell Pignotti, Jacob Vanden Heuvel, Cecilia Vanden Heuvel and Claire Vanden Heuvel; and seven great-grandchildren: Mia Leszko, Ali Leszko, Drew Leszko, August Richter, Brynlee Dineen, Declan Dineen and Adele Richter.
    He was proceeded in death by his son, Christopher Vanden Heuvel, his parents, Albert and Margaret Vanden Heuvel, and his brother, Harold Vanden Heuvel.
    Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 8, at Lyndahl Funeral Home, 1350 Lombardi Avenue, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Thursday, April 9, at Nativity of Our Lord Parish, 2270 South Oneida Street, from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m., with Father John H. Harper officiating. Interment will be held at Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Online condolences may be expressed at www.Lyndahl.com.
    In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Marvin's name or contributions may be made in Marvin's name to the Alzheimer's Association .
    The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Kevin Sandmire, the doctors and staff at Milo B. Huempfner VA Clinic, Father John Harper and Jeanae Behnke for their compassionate care given to Marvin and his family.
