Obituary:
Ralph Pitzen 71, of Route 1, Malone, in the town of Calumet, presently Town of Calumet Treasurer and for the past nine years, died at 1 a.m. today at St. Agnes Hospital, Fond du Lac.
He was born June 19, 1905, at Pipe, a son of the late August and Anna Muellenbach Pitzen. He married Esther Halbach on October 14, 1930, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Johnsburg.
Mr. Pitzen was a farmer all his life in the Pipe area. He was supervisor for the Town of Calumet for over 20 years, and a director of the former Calumetville Community Club.
Surviving are his widow; a daughter, Mrs John (Vernie) Markert Jr. of Fond du Lac; five grandchildren and a great-grandchild. A sister preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church, Jonesburg, where he was a member. The Rev. Robert Bier will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.
