Obituary:
Helen Octavia Huisman, 425 Pecor St., Oconto, passed away on Wednesday, Ju ly 5, 2006, at Bay Shore Pines Assisted Living Facility. The former Hel en Octavia Bourassa was born Dec. 1, 1908, in Oconto, to the late Thomas a nd Mary (Pocan) Bourassa. She married Joseph Huisman on Oct. 22, 192 9, at St. Peter's Church, Oconto. He preceded her in death on June 22, 196 7. Helen was a member of Holy Trinity Parish.
Helen is survived by three daughters, Patricia (Robert) Hansen, Green Ba y; Rosanne Stephens, Frederick, Md.; Eileen (Francis) Bunker, Green Bay; t wo sons, Dean, Pewaukee; Wayne (Marlys) Farmington, Minn.; 20 grandchildre n, 30 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren; and a very spec ial niece, Jane Belongia, Oconto.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Donald; four sister s, Ella Bourassa, Hilda (Charles) Loberger, Eva (Charles) Degeneffe, Lib by (William) Delvo; and three brothers, Edmund (Ceil) Bourassa, Ernest (El len) Bourassa, and Franklin (Helen) Bourassa.
The family will receive relatives and friends at the Holy Trinity Churc h, Oconto, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, July 7, 2006. Mass of Christi an Burial will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Friday at the church with the Re v. David C. Ruby officiating. Burial will be at the Oconto Catholic Cemete ry. The Gallagher Funeral Home, Oconto, is assisting the family. On line c ondolences may be expressed at www.gallagherfuneralhome.net.
