    Mrs. Maria Stecker, 78, of Hilbert, died Thursday at St. Vincent's hospital, Green Bay, after an illness of three days.
    She was born Feb. 2, 1863, in Mechlenburg, Germany, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joachim Lemke, and at the age of 7 came to this country. She was married to Fred J. Stecker, Oct. 19, 1883, at Trinity Lutheran Church, town of Rantoul, by the Rev. Mr. Steckert.
    Her husband died in 1933, and for the past four years she had lived with her children.
    Survivors are five sons, Fred, Town of Rantoul, Herman, Hilbert; Otto, Kiel; Albert, New Holstein; and Gerhard, Hilbert; two daughters, Mrs. George (Emma Loose, Hilbert; and Mrs. George (Marie) Boss, Brillion. Two children preceded her in death. A bother, George Lemke, Charlestown, and a sister, Mrs. Julius Freitag, Chilton, Also survive her, as do 26 grandchildren, (rest illegible)

    Obituary:
    Mrs. Emma Loose, 68, of Hilbert, passed away at her home at 12:55 p. m., Tuesday, following an illness of one week's duration. Nee Stecker, she was born Aug. 28, 1884, in the town of Rantoul and was married their on Jan. 6, 1903, to George Loose. The couple operated a farm in the Town of Charlestown for several years then moved to the town of Rantoul where they also operated a farm. They moved to Hilbert 14 years ago. Survivors include two sons; George F. of Rantoul and Albert F. of Bear Creek; one daughter, Mrs. Charles William of Chicago; 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; five brothers, Fred and Herman Stecker of Hilbert, Otto of Plymouth, Albert of Kiel, and Gerhardt of Fonddu Lac; and one sister, Mrs. George Voss of Potter. She was preceded in death by her husband. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p. m., Friday, at the Techtman-Wieting Funeral home, Hilbert. and at 2 p. m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church. The Rev. Martin Schneider will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home from 7 p. m., today, until the hour of services.

    MRS. GEORGE VOSS, 75, of R. 2, Brillion died Friday evening at her home following a lingering illness.
    Mrs. Voss was born in the town of Rantoul June 16, 1887, a daughter of the late Fred and Marie (Lemke) Stecker. She was married to George Voss on April 7, 1907. The couple lived on their farm on R. 2, Brillion for the past 33 years. Mrs. Voss was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion.
    Survivors are her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Lester (Verna Krueger, Milwaukee; three sons, Elmer of Atlanta, Ga., and Earl and Edgar, both of R. 2, Brillion; 11 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; five brothers, Fred and Herman of R. 2, Hilbert, Otto and Albert of Kiel, and Gerhardt of Fond du Lac. A son, two sisters and a brother preceded her in death.

    Herman W. Stecker, Dr., 86, route 1, Hilbert, died March 12 at Theda Clark Hospital, Neenah, following a brief illness.
    He is survived by his wife, three daughters, three sons, 33 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren and two brothers, Otto and Albert Stecker, both of Kiel.
    Funeral services were held Wednesday at Peace United church of Christ with burial in community Cemetery in Brillion.

    Clarence G. Loose, 36, passed away at his home 204 Mill street, Sheboygan Falls, following a lingering illness.
    He was born at Rantoul, Wis., on March 16, 1914, a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Loose. He attended public school in Rantoul. On May 18, 1935, he was married to Myrtle Keuer. The couple lived in Brillion until two years ago when they moved to Sheboygan Falls.
    He was a hunting and fishing enthusiast and belonged to sportsmen groups. He was an employee of the Kohler company.
    Survivors include his wife, his parents, at Hilbert; two brothers, George of Rantoul, and Albert of Bear Creek, and one sister, Mrs. Charles Williams of Chicago.
    The body was removed to the A. E. Rauschert Funeral home. Funeral arrangements are pending and will be published in Friday's Sheboygan Press.

    Earl J. Voss Age 86, of rural Brillion, died on Tuesday, November 14, 2000 at Chilton Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born January 27, 1914 in the Town of Rantoul, son of the late George and Marie (Stecker) Voss. He married Veronica A. Pritzl on January 24, 1942 in Brillion. He and Veronica farmed at W860 Deerview Road from 1942-1976, when he retired but continued to live on the homestead. In 1997 he moved to Garrow Villa and recently to Chilton Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brillion. For many years Earl was a board member of the Brillion Co-Op and a member of the Brillion Conservation Club. He loved hunting, fishing, wood working, and playing cards. Survivors include his wife, Veronica; two daughters and sons-in-law: Peggy and Ben Peters, Brillion; Susan and James Goll, Appleton; a son and daughter-in-law, James and Mary Voss, Brillion; nine grandchildren and one great grandson; a brother and sister-in-law, Edgar and Eunice Voss, Brillion; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Lawrence and Dorothy Kubale, Green Bay; Elmer and Julia Pritzl, Reedsville; Bernice Pritzl, Manitowoc; and Lucille Pritzl, Brillion. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Elmer and his wife Peggy Voss; a sister, Verna and her husband Lester Krueger; three brothers-in-law and a sister-in-law: Arthur Pritzl, Louis Pritzl, and Walter and Mary Lashua. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 18 at noon at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. The Rev. David A. Rockhoff will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends and family may call at the Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion on Saturday from 9-11:30 a.m. and then gather at Trinity Lutheran Church for the service at noon. The family wishes to especially thank Pastors Rockhoff and Henzi for their visits and prayers, and all those who were so kind while caring for Earl during his stay at Garrow Villa and Chilton Health & Rehabilitation Center.

    Edgar O. Voss, age 98, of Brillion, died on Thursday March 20, 2014. He was born September 10, 1915 in the town of Rantoul, son of the late George and Marie (Stecker) Voss. He graduated from Brillion High School in 1933. He then attended Milwaukee School of Engineering until he was drafted. He served during WW II in the U.S. Army Air Force for 4 years and 8 months. He was stationed in England for more than 2, years serving as a Technical Sergeant . On May 29, 1948 Edgar married Eunice Hillmann at St. Luke's Lutheran Church in the town of Chilton. God blessed them with 2 sons and 62 years of marriage. He and Eunice farmed in the town of Rantoul for 35 years and in 1980 they retired and moved to Brillion. Edgar and Eunice won the WBAY Outstanding Farmer Award for Calumet County in 1957. He most recently resided at West Haven in Brillion. Edgar was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Brillion and sang in the church choir for many years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 126 of Brillion, the Brillion Senior Citizens, the Brillion Historical Society, and several card clubs. In 2012, he was blessed to be part of an Old Glory Honor Flight to Washington, D.C. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dan and Debby Voss of Potter and Kevin and Kaye Voss of Port Washington, five grandchildren, Traci Voss Braun of MN, Tony Voss of MN, Rachel Voss of CA, Ryan Voss of Hawaii, and Marshall Rathburn of GA, two great grandchildren, Eliza and Sam Braun, MN, and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife on November 1, 2010, his parents, three brothers and 2 sisters-in-law, Leroy, Earl (Veronica), Elmer (Peggy), and a sister and brother-in-law Verna (Lester) Krueger. Funeral services will be held on Sunday March 30, 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. The Rev. Ross Henzi will officiate. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.     Gary L. Loose, age 60, of the Township of Deer Creek, Outagamie County, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Sunday evening, May 13, 2007, at his residence. Gary was born on March 24, 1947, in Clintonville, the son of the late Albert and Adela (Gruett) Loose. He graduated from Clintonville High School in 1965. Gary met his high school sweetheart, Darlene Behnke in 1964 and was married on April 3, 1965, at St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville. The couple lived in the Township of Matteson, Waupaca County then in Embarrass.
    In 1971, they moved to their present home in the Township of Deer Creek where they have lived since. Gary was a lifelong member of the St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville. His passions included stock car racing, cash crop farming and canning sauerkraut.
    Survivors include his wife: Darlene; his daughter, Jodi (Rod) Anderson, Bear Creek; his son, Jay (Nikki) Loose, Clintonville; four grandchildren: Amber and Michael Anderson, Travis and Chase Loose; his sister, Beverly (Wayne "Bud") Koester, Appleton; his brother, Jerry (Sandy) Loose, Madison; his mother and father-in-law: Frances Behnke (Special Friend: James Rutherford, Schofield; Orland "Bud" Behnke, Clintonville; his sister-in-law, Fran (Bruce) Johnson, Germantown, TN; many special nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Floyd and Alois, and his brother-in-law, Wayne Behnke.
    Funeral services will be held 11:30 a.m. Thursday, May 17, 2007, at the St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville, with the Rev. Christian Burg and the Rev. Vilas Mazemke officiating. Friends may call at the church on Thursday, from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial will be established.     Hilbert - Janice M Schroeder, 85, of Hilbert, WI passed away quietly into Jesus' arms on July 13, 2018 in Neenah.
    Janice was born on her family farm in Hilbert, Wisconsin to George and Ella (Loose) Behnke on June 6, 1933. She was a 1951 graduate of Hilbert High School. She married George R Schroeder on July 21, 1951 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Hilbert. Janice was a lifetime member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church and was a member of the Ladies Aid. Janice worked for Chilton Metal Products and then became a school cook at Hilbert High School. She loved working as a cook at the high school and seeing the student's every day. Janice loved to spend time with her friends and family. Janice's grandchildren and great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She would do anything for those she loved. Her Faith was very strong and Church was very important to her; as she raised her family in the love of God. She would always call and check if everyone was going to church. She will be dearly missed by many.
    Janice is survived by her husband George Schroeder of 67 years, Children; son George (Sue Bechlem) Schroeder, daughters Jenine (Paul) Rosnow, Shirley (Jon) Joch, Betty (Clint) OIson and Janet (Lee) Fredericks; grandchildren, Nicole (Josh) Ludwig, Adam Schroeder, Stephanie Schroeder, Brenda (Eric) Digman, Kevin (Amy) Alksnis, Ryan (Jessica) Peterson, Kyle (Abigail) Peterson, Sarah (Tony) Penaz, Doug (Taeya) Olson, Jenna Fredericks and Raine Fredericks. Janice had 13 great grandchildren Adley and Ashton Ludwig, Mason Digman, Kaleb Alksnis, Ayla and Archer Peterson, Otto and Theodore Peterson, Hunter, Carter and Noah Penaz, Carson and Everly Olson. Janice is also survived by her beloved sister Dorothy (Elliot) Maile, brother-in-law Gerald Schroeder, sister-in-law's Caroline Behnke, Verona Plate, and LaVerne Muenster and many nieces and nephews.
    Janice is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Joseph Behnke and Rueben Behnke, and sister Florence Behnke. Sister-in-laws, Marcella Federwitz, Delores Schroeder, Darlene Schroeder, brother-in-law's, Delmar Schroeder, Lloyd Behnke, Lester Plate, George Muenster and Edward Federwitz and many nieces and nephews.
    The family of Janice wishes to extend our sincere thanks to American Grand in Neenah and the staff. We would like to give our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all of them for their wonderful care and compassion. We would also like to thank Pastor Ricky Schroeder, Peace Lutheran Church, Neenah for his kindness, support and prayers for mom and her family.
