    Obituary:
    Virginia E. Petrie, age 80, of New Holstein, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Friday, March 18, 2016, at Thedacare Regional Medical Center in Appleton.
    The former Virginia Gray was born March 9, 1936, in Town of Harrison near Hilbert, to the late Edgar & Theresa (Ruffing) Gray.
    On September 17, 1960, she married James Petrie at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stockbridge. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in September 2015.
    Virginia raised her four sons in addition to tending to the home.
    She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein where she was a former choir member and a member of the Christian Women's Society. For many years she was a 4-H Leader in New Holstein.
    Virginia enjoyed traveling; she and Jim spent many winters in Florida. She loved to dance and play her piano. Ginny and her husband played sheepshead for many years with friends. Family was very important to Virginia, especially spending time with her grandchildren.
    Survivors include her husband, Jim; four sons, Chuck (Beth) Petrie of Kiel and their children, Tiffany and Nicole; her son, Rich (Joan) Petrie of Malone and their children, Bryant and Travis; her son, Jeff (Lori) Petrie of Plymouth and their children, Mickenzie and Brady and her son, Tim (Penny) Petrie of New Holstein and their children, Olivia, Zachary and Evan. She is further survived by a brother-in-law, Frank Petrie of Fremont, CA and a sister-in-law, Joan Petrie of Kimberly; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Preceding her in death were her parents; a brother, John Gray; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ben & Dorothy Petrie; three sisters-in-law, Ann Petrie, Lucy (Gene) Schwarz and Kathleen (Hugh) Goggins and a brother-in-law, David Petrie.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, March 23, 2016, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1724 Madison Street New Holstein, WI 53061. Rev. Harold Berryman will officiate with Deacon Pat Knier assisting. Ginny will be laid to rest in the parish cemetery.
    Visitation: Family and friends may call at the Sippel Funeral Home, 2618 Altona Avenue in New Holstein on Tuesday, March 22nd from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM. Visitation will also take place Wednesday morning at Holy Rosary Church from 9:30 AM until 10:15 AM.
    A prayer service will be held at the funeral home Tuesday evening at 7:00 PM.
    A memorial fund will be established in her name.

    Jeff Petrie, age 51, of Plymouth, WI, peacefully went home to be with his Lord on Saturday afternoon (Oct. 8, 2016) surrounded by his loving family after a hard fought battle with cancer.
    Jeff was born on March 12, 1965 in Chilton, WI, a son of James Petrie and the late Virginia (nee Gray) Petrie.
    He attended Holy Rosary Catholic Grade School in New Holstein and graduated from New Holstein High School in 1983. Jeff continued his education at University of Wisconsin- Platteville receiving a Bachelor's Degree in Radio and T.V. Broadcasting.
    On June 8, 1991 he married his best friend and soulmate Lori Haack at St. Peter's United Church of Christ in Kiel. The couple has resided in Plymouth since their marriage. They celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary this past year.
    Jeff was employed at Tecumseh Products, Krupps Siding and Remodeling, and later worked for many years at Lakeland Truck Caps in Plymouth prior to realizing that teaching was his true calling and purpose.

    He earned his Bachelor Degree in Education from Silver Lake College in Manitowoc in 2005. Jeff was a beloved Plymouth teacher who taught at Horizon Elementary school before moving onto Riverview Middle School where he taught 5th Grade.
    Another passion in Jeff's life was coaching. He got his start in coaching for the Chilton High School baseball team in 1988. He went on to coach soccer, basketball, baseball, cross country and girls' softball for over 25 years.
    Before moving to the sidelines to coach, Jeff loved playing baseball, softball and basketball in many leagues.
    He was a very strong and faithful member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth where he served as a reader for many years.
    Jeff served on the Board of Directors of the Plymouth Softball Association and on the Community Education Department board. His family was involved with AFS over the years and he enjoyed hosting students from other countries.
    Jeff cherished spending time with his family, taking family vacations, working outside, and reading.
    He also enjoyed watching and attending Brewers, Packers, and Bucks games, as well as various college and high school sporting events.
    Those that he leaves behind to carry on his legacy and share his memories are his beloved wife of 25 years: Lori and his loving children: Mickenzie and Brady. His father: Jim Petrie of New Holstein, three brothers: Chuck (Beth) Petrie of Kiel, Rich (Joan) Petrie of Johnsburg and Tim (Penny) Petrie of New Holstein, His father-in-law: Don Haack of Sheboygan, His mother-in-law: Phyllis (Bill) Hendrickse of Sheboygan, and one sister-in-law: Shari (Jim) Holtan of Prior Lake, MN.
    Jeff is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many close friends.
    He was preceded in death by his Mother: Virginia Petrie.
    Jeff will be forever remembered for his positive attitude which never wavered. He radiated kindness and sought to bring out the good in every aspect of his life. He was full of encouragement and support, and thoroughly enjoyed helping others and giving of his time and talents. Jeff will be dearly missed as a husband, father, teacher, coach and friend.
    Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday Morning (Oct. 15, 2016) at 11:00 A.M. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Dennis Van Beek will officiate. Cremation will take place following the services.
    Visitation will be held on Friday evening (Oct. 14) from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth and again on Saturday morning from 10:00 A.M. at the CHURCH until the time of Mass.
    In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund is being established in Jeff's name.

    The family would like to send heartfelt thanks for the wonderful care he received from Dr. Kumar and the staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Center in Sheboygan, Dr. Hari and staff at Froedtert Hospital, and the doctors and nurses at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center. The Petrie family also thanks the community of Plymouth for all your care, love, support and prayers given to Jeff and his family. Together we are Petrie Strong.
