Obituary:
Marion R. Schmidt (nee: Radtke), 97, passed away peacefully at her home in Appleton on Friday, January 15, 2016. Marion was born at home in Appleton on August 13, 1918 to the late Charles and Mary (Nienhaus) Radtke. She graduated from Appleton High School in 1936. Survivors include her six children: Charles, Kristine, James, Rodger (Marcy), Steven and Lisa; 4 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. She is also survived by two cousins, a nephew and niece and the many people that she has encouraged and helped over so many years. Her quick wit, kindness and feisty personality were an attraction for many. She fondly remembered the many years she worked at the telephone company. "number please!"Marion was preceded in death by her 3 siblings: Elizabeth Radtke, Paul (Margaret) Radtke and Ann Milanowski; as well as many cousins, friends and one grandson.Per Marion's wishes, there will be a private graveside service held
