    Obituary:
    Brillion, Wis. - Funeral services for Herman Ariens, 71, who passed away here Saturday morning, were held Monday at 9 a. m. at the Luecker Funeral home and at 9:30 a. m. at St Mary's Catholic church. The Rev. Raymond Schauer recited high mass and interment was made in the church cemetery.
    Mr. Ariens passed away at the home of his brother, Henry, with whom he had made his home for the past 30 years, and was a faithful member of St. Mary's church. Mr. Ariens was born Nov. 11, 1871, in town Wilson, Sheboygan county, and moved to Brillion when he was 21 years old. He was married on Oct. 28, 1902, to Mary McDonald, and she passed away in 1906. A child died in infancy.
    When he came to Brillion he took employment at Brillion Iron works, in which plant his brother, Henry was then a part owner. On March 13, 1913 he was rendered totally blind through an explosion in the coke department of the plant. Since that time he had made his home with his brother.
    Survivors are two brothers, George of Oshkosh and Henry of Brillion; three nephews, Mando, Leon and Francis Ariens of Brillion.
