    Earl L. Kuether, age 87, formerly of 1910 32nd St., Two Rivers, died Sundaynight, Jan. 12, 2003 at Harmony of Two Rivers.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2003 at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. The Rev. Edward Stelter will officiate at the service, with burial to follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Two Rivers.
    Earl was born Sept. 14, 1915 in Two Rivers, son of the late William and Flora Hindt Kuether. He was a graduate of St. John's Parochial School and Two Rivers Washington High School. On Aug. 13, 1936, he married Rose Coenen in Two Rivers. She preceded him in death on June 4, 1992. Earl was employed as a tool and die maker at the Metal Ware Corp. of Two Rivers for many years, retiring in 1978. He enjoyed playing a lot of fast-pitch softball, was an avid golfer and enjoyed traveling.
    Survivors include his daughter: Nancy Grimm of Brown Deer; a daughter-in-law: Clarice Schaden, Two Rivers; 10 grandchildren: Gary (Michele) Grimm; Tom (Vicky) Grimm; Sharon (Mark) Apazeller; Mary Kay (Brian) Therieult; Matt (Patty) Nogalski; Steve (Donna) Grimm; Terry (Mark) Laurin; Mike (Cheryl) Kuether; Greg (Leah) Kuether; and Lynne (Mike) Laack; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. He is further survived by a brother and two sisters-in-law: Chester (Joyce) Kuether, Two Rivers; and Pat Coenen, Manitowoc; two sisters and a brother-in-law: Hazel (Norman) Schmidt, Mishicot; and Ruth Handy, Two Rivers; and a special friend: Eleanore Best, Two Rivers; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his son: Donald Kuether in 1968; and a son-in-law: Bernard Grimm in 1998.
    Friends may call at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Two Rivers, after 9 a.m. on Thursday until the time of service at 11 a.m. There will be no Wednesday evening visitation. Memorials may be made to St. John's Church Building Fund.
    Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels, Two Rivers, is assisting the Kuether family with funeral arrangements.
    The Kuether family extends a sincere thank you to Dr. Thayer, the entire staff of Harmony of Two Rivers, Aurora Medical Center and North Ridge Care Center and the caregivers of Aurora Hospice for all the loving care and kindness given to our father and grandfather. Your kindness is greatly appreciated!
