Obituary:
Marcella Liermann, age 93, of Harmony Assisted Living, formerly of Brillion, entered eternal life on Wednesday morning, April 23, 2014 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc.
Marcella was born on June 7, 1920 in the town of Rantoul, Calumet County, daughter of the late Edward and Elsie (Klessig) Lemke. She married Milton Liermann on October 21, 1944 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul. They farmed near Valders until moving to Brillion in 1981.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Grace and Garry Sydow of Whitelaw; four grandchildren and their families: Julie (Ryan) Krause and their children, Talia, Mariah and Carson of Greenville, Becky (Nathan) Kruse and their children, Abigail and Isaiah of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Marlys (Nicholas) Kluck and their son Mason of Wausau, and Amy Sydow and her special friend Peter Kirby of Madison; one brother: Paul Lemke of Hilbert; one sister-in-law: Lilly Wunrow of Brillion; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Elsie Lemke, her husband, Milton on April 20, 1983, a stillborn son, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth (George) Behnke and Alice (Armond) Wunrow, one brother and sister-in-law, Henry (Florence) Lemke, two infant sisters and one infant brother.
Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. Officiating will be the Rev. Ross Henzi and Rev. Tom Fricke with burial at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery in Collins.
Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
Memorials appreciated to Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion, St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Collins, or an organization of your choice in Marcella's name.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Pastor Henzi and Pastor Fricke for their visits and prayers, Paul, Dorothy, Chuck, and Viorene for their many visits, Marcella's special neighbors in Brillion, Harmony Assisted Living, Dr. Larry Verlinden and the kind nurses on 5th Floor East at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center.
