    Obituary:
Richard H. "Dick" Roehrig, 77 years old, of Chilton, died peacefully, Thursday, January 27, 2011, at his home following a courageous seven-year battle with cancer. He was born in Chilton on April 8, 1933, son of the late Edgar and Salome (Casper) Roehrig. He was one of six children. Dick lived in Chilton until he was six years old when his family moved to Marytown. He attended St. Mary's Catholic school in Marytown and New Holstein High School, graduating in 1951. On May 4, 1954, he married Shirley Reinl at St. Charles Church in Charlesburg. Dick raised mink at home while working at Bartel's Fur Farm. Later, he began delivering mail for the U.S. Postal Service from which he retired in 1997. After retiring, Dick and Shirley returned to Chilton. Dick was a past officer of the Marytown Parish Holy Name Society, Marytown Athletic Club, and St. Lawrence Seminary Parent's Guild. He was a Parish Council Trustee, a baseball coach, and he volunteered at the Salvation Army and St. Vincent DePaul in Chilton. In retirement, Dick drove school bus for the Chilton school district and worked at Vande Hey Brantmeier. Dick enjoyed spending time with his family, wood working, following sports, a good game of Poker and Sheepshead, and meeting friends at Seven Angels. In his younger days, he spent many a Sunday afternoon playing baseball for the Marytown AC's. His faith and saying the rosary daily was a very important part of his life.
He is survived by his wife Shirley of 56 years, son Terry (Amy), Rhode Island, granddaughter Ann, Colorado, brother Lester (Dolores), Chilton, sisters Elsie Dorn, Sheboygan Falls, and Grace (Ken) Wirth, Sheboygan, and brother-in-law Ronnie (Dolores), New Holstein, sisters-in-law Millie Roehrig, Hilbert, Cordelia Nett, New Holstein, Jeanette Brenner, Mt.
