    Verona H. Pahl, age 91, of Kaukauna, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2010, with her family by her side. She was born March 7, 1919, to the late Martin and Minnie (Dercks) Hietpas. Verona married Robert Pahl on July 2, 1940, at St. John's in Little Chute.
    She was a member of St. Mary's Altar Society. Verona truly loved her family, she was well known for having special candy treats for anyone who entered her life. She especially loved to treat her grandchildren and her health care providers while in the hospital. Verona always had kind words and extended her love to everyone. She loved to cook, bake, make candy, travel, watching football, and playing canasta.
    Verona is survived by one daughter and seven sons: Mary (Joseph) Zenisek, Sherwood; James (Leone), Brillion; Robert (Lois), Little Chute; Thomas (Betty), Two Rivers; Gerald (Mary), Oostburg; Clifford (Kathy), Kaukauna; David (Mary), Darboy; and William (Paula), Kaukauna; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two brothers, one sister, and two sisters-in-law: Paul "Tarz" Hietpas, Little Chute; Bill (Pat) Hietpas, Little Chute; Grace (Hietpas) Van Dyn Hoven, Kaukauna; and Rosalie Hietpas, Kaukauna; and many nieces and nephews.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pahl, January 26, 1972; one sister, four brothers, three brothers-in-law, and six sisters-in-law: Marie (Carl) Verstegen, Austin (Myrtle) Hietpas, James (Marie) Hietpas, Gordon (Dorothy) Hietpas, Richard Hietpas, Delores Hietpas, Alta (Edward) Pahl-Byrne, Gaylord (Carol) Pahl, and Orpha Pahl.
    The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 31, 2010, at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH at ST. Mary Church, 119 West 7th St., Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors and Msgr. James Vandenhoven co-officiating. Friends may call on Friday at the BOETTCHER FAMILY FUNERAL HOME, 2401 Fieldcrest Dr., Kaukauna from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a Parish Prayer Service at 7 p.m. concluding the evening. Friends may call again on Saturday directly at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established.
    Verona's family and especially her daughter Mary wishes to thank all the staff at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Dr. Misty Johnston, Dr. Alan Cherkasky, Dr. Kenneth Geller and their fantastic nurses, Affinity Medical Staff, Visiting Nurses, and the Kaukauna Paramedics. Grace, a lifelong resident of Kaukauna was born on February 15, 1921, in Little Chute. A beloved mother and devoted wife, she has gone to eternal rest with her husband, Wilbert "Bill" Van Dyn Hoven. Grace enjoyed her time at the cottage where everyone was welcome!     Obituary:
    Little Chute - Paul "Tarz" Hietpas, 94, passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital with many of his immediate and extended family at his side on Sunday, December 31, 2017. Paul was born on September 25, 1923 in Little Chute to Martin and Minnie Hietpas. Paul served in the U.S. Army in World War II as a medic arriving in France on D-Day plus 2 and participating in four campaigns in the Third and Ninth U.S. Armies. He was instrumental in saving many lives and was awarded the Bronze Star medal in recognition of his efforts. Sixty years later he was thrilled to participate in an honor flight to Washington, D.C. in appreciation of WW II veterans.
    On June 1, 1946 he was united in marriage to Delores Helf at St John's Church in Little Chute. The couple enjoyed 59 wonderful years together. Following six years of employment at Azco, Inc. he was then involved in forming Town Inc. where he was a co-owner. In 1962, Paul founded Hietpas, Inc. in Little Chute which grew to be one of the largest mechanical contractors in the area. After retiring in 1978, Paul and Delores moved to Winter Haven, FL. They belonged to Cypress Woods Country Club, where they enjoyed living on the 17th hole. They spent eighteen wonderful years there in retirement. Paul returned to the Fox Valley area in 2006 after the death of his wife.
    Paul was a very outgoing individual and will be remembered by his perennial up-beat mood and infectious laugh. He was a lifelong member of St. John Parish in Little Chute, was a Boy Scout leader, President of the Mechanical Contractors Association of Central WI, President of St. John's Athletic Association, and avid golfer as a member of Fox Valley and Buttes des Morts golf clubs and a diehard Badger and Packer fan.
    Paul is survived by his children: Dave (Deborah) Hietpas, Appleton; Beverly (Charlie) Goff, Appleton: John (Mary) Hietpas, Little Chute; Nancy (Kevin) Buschey, Grafton; grandchildren: Leah (Jeff) Fogle, Joelle (Greg) Hoelzel, Kelly Nietzer and Whitney Rammer; Nathan Goff, Carson (Monica) Goff and Sarah (Eric) McNiel; Jennifer Hietpas, Benjamin (fiancée Jen Racine) Hietpas; Jeni (Chris) Bogan, Abby (fiance AJ Sprangers) Kersten and Mitch Kersten; Elizabeth (Luis) Pomares, John (Tammy) Bellin, Melissa (Michael) Dunn and Michelle (Jay) Nelson; 27 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and brother: Bill (Pat) Hietpas. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Delores; father and mother-in-law: Jack and Rose Helf; brothers: Austin (Mrytl), Jim (Marie), Gordy (Dorothy) and Dick (Rosalie) Hietpas; sisters: Grace (Bill) Van Dyn Hoven, Verona (Bob) Pahl and Marie (Carl) Verstegen; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Les Helf, Anita (Bill) Stark and Jerome Helf.
    Visitation will be held Thursday, January 4, 2018 at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 Pine St. Little Chute) beginning at 2:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 5:00 p.m. The Rev. Msgr.     Marie R. Verstegen, Little Chute, 82, died Friday Oct. 2, 2009, at Brewster Village with her loving family by her side after a lengthy medical condition. She was born to the late Martin & Minnie (Dercks) Hietpas on April 10, 1927. Marie married Carl (Bucky) Verstegen on May 22, 1947, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, Little Chute and he preceded her in death June 7, 1987. Marie was a cook for her family restaurant for years and enjoyed cooking for everyone. She truly loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. She looked for the best in everyone and cared for everyone.
    Marie is survived by two daughters and son-in-law: Lynn (Jim) Keyzers, Wausaukee; Mary Ann Rickert, Wausau; a son and daughter-in-law: Richard (Laurie) Verstegen, Appleton; nine grandchildren: Erica (Bo) Huffman, Megan Rickert, Stacey (fiance Ken Rehbein) Verstegen, Craig (Liz) LeBlanc, Eric and Marlee Keyzers, Aaron Buxton, Travis Buxton-Verstegen, Michelle (Kobussen) Mueller; eight great-grandchildren: Liam, Flynn, Aayla, Madison, Will, Issaac, Jocelynn, Miranda; two sisters and two brothers: Verona Pahl, Grace Van Dyn Hoven, both of Kaukauna; Paul Hietpas, William (Pat) Hietpas, both of Little Chute; sisters and brothers-in-law: Rosalie Hietpas, Bernice Vander Velden, Irene (Don) Peeters, Ida (James) Peeters, Joanne Hawley, Loretta Hoelzel; special long time friends: Thelma "Peanuts" Ryba, Gordy Van Handel, Judy Wydeven and Mark Peeters; many special nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her husband Carl (Bucky) Verstegen; son-in-law: Mike Rickert; four brothers: Austin (Myrtle), James (Marie), Gordon (Dorothy), and Richard Hietpas; sisters and brothers-in-law: Delores Hietpas, Robert Pahl, William Van Dyn Hoven, Regina (Clarence) Bouressa, Joseph Vander Velden, Robert (Lillian), Lester (Peg), Gerald (Margaret) and Joseph (Charlotte) Verstegen.
    Visitation will be held Tuesday Oct. 6, 2009, at ST. JOHN NEPOMUCENE CATHOLIC CHURCH (323 S. Pine St. Little Chute) at 9 a.m. until the time of Mass at 11 a.m. The Rev. Msgr.     Daniel Paul LeNoble, Appleton, age 52, died Friday July 10, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Appleton on February 22, 1963 to George and Darla (Hietpas) LeNoble. Dan married Linda King on September 28, 1985 in Appleton. He was self-employed for over 25 years with his own cleaning service. Dan enjoyed camping, gardening and other outdoor activities. He was a very hospitable man and was happiest spending time with his grandchildren, family and friends.

    Laurie (LeNoble) Hammen from Little Chute died unexpectedly on January 29, 2014. Laurie was born on April 21, 1964. Laurie was raised in Little Chute, where she graduated from Little Chute High School. She then met her husband Tim Hammen. Laurie and Tim married on November 8, 1985, they had a daughter on March 8, 1990 named Stephanie. Laurie and Tim later divorced after an 18 year marriage but still remained friends. Laurie was a hard worker she was always willing to give it her all. She loved to cook and was great at it. At all the family gatherings she was always making the meals and cleaning up the mess. Laurie was an amazing singer she loved to sing, one of her favorites to sing was The Rose. Laurie enjoyed to fish. Laurie and Tim would make the best Friday fish fries a family could ask for which made great family memories. Laurie was a supervisor at W.O.W. for over 15 years. She took pride in her work, many people said she was their favorite supervisor. Laurie later had a daughter McKayla on June 27, 2002. Laurie is survived by Tim Hammen, her daughters, Stephanie and McKayla; mother, Darla LeNoble; sisters, Lynn (Roger) Fleishman, Tracy (Andy) Nehr, Tammy (Paul) Dunsmore, brothers, Alan (Terry) LeNoble, Don (Anita) LeNoble, Dan (Linda) LeNoble, Kevin (Tracy) LeNoble, also many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.     David W. Arnold Appleton - 55, To my Son, our Dad, our Brother, our Nephew, our Cousin, our Friend. We have shed tears of happiness for you as well as tears of sadness; tears of laughter and tears of frustration; tears of hope and tears of despair. Although today we shed tears of pain on losing you here on earth, we also cry tears of joy in knowing you are now at peace in heaven.
    We have learned many things from your life: patience, hope, the power of prayer, the strength of love. Throughout your life, your focus was your love for your children. They truly meant the world to you and your wish was for peace and love for your entire family.
    You will be greatly missed by your four children: Mason (special friend Ashley) Arnold, Malory (fiancé, Grant) Arnold, Mackenzie Arnold and Marek (special friend Lizzy) Arnold; mother, Susan Arnold-La Marche (special friend Dan); siblings: Gary (special friend Suzi) Arnold, Connie (Joel) Wilz, Dawn (Dale) Dorschner; step brothers and sisters: Del Jr. 'Bumper' (Chris) La Marche, Dwight (Sherri) La Marche, Donna (Mark) Noack, Dede Kranzsuch and Danielle (Michael) Bangart; his girlfriend, Brenda and numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends.
    Dave was preceded in death by his father, Wayne Arnold and step-father, Del La Marche.
    We would like to thank all the nurses, doctors and others who have helped Dave. A special thank you to Tony for always supporting you and to Brenda who loved you and stood by you.
    We love and miss you and find comfort in knowing one day we will again be together.
    A Prayer Service for Dave will be held at 6 PM, Wed. August 8, 2018 on his 56th birthday at Brettschneider Trettin-Nickel Funeral Chapel with Rev. Adam Bradley officiating. Visitation will begin at 4 PM. In lieu of flowers a memorial is being established.
