    Milton G. Schmitt, 123 W. 9th St., Kaukauna
    Age 81, died unexpectedly Saturday, September 25, 1993 at his home.
    He was born June 5, 1912 in Kaukauna, the son of the late Joseph F. and Ella A. (Krebser) Schmitt. Milton was employed at Thilmany Pulp and Paper as a Chemist until his retirement in 1977. He was a licensed watchmaker and jeweler since 1929. He enjoyed gardening, lapidary, fossil hunting and watch repair. He was a member of several rock clubs in Appleton, Green Bay and Oshkosh; the Thilmany Quarter Century Club, American Chemical Society, T.A.P.PI. (Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry). National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, and Mensa.
    He is survived by three sons and a daughter-in-law: Thomas and Joan Schmitt, New London; Lee Schmitt, Fond du Lac; Charles Schmitt, Milpitas, California; two daughters and sons-in-law: Carol and Richard Sarnowski, Neenah; Virginia and Donald Orheim, Manitowoc; 14 grandchildren: Mark (Gwen) Schmitt; Bryan (Jill) Schmitt; Michael and Anne Schmitt; Mary White; Chris Sarnowski; Jenny Sarnowski; Sarah (Matthew) Kakia; Tony Sarnowski; Scott (Jodi) Orheim; Jim, Eric and Amy Orheim; and Sonia Schmitt; five great-grandchildren, two brothers and a sister-in-law; Carlton Schmitt, Kaukauna; Richard and Barbara Schmitt, Florida; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Lorraine and Marvin Alger, Kaukauna; Florence and Paul Theimer, Pennsylvania. He is further survived by his wife's sisters: Bernadette Joyce and Margie Coleman, both of Kaukauna.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary (Hooyman) Schmitt in 1979; a daughter-in-law, Jean Kieffer Schmitt; four brothers: Robert, George, Donald and Wilber; an infant sister, Elaine.
    Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna with Father Ron Lhotte officiating.
    Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Kaukauna.
    Friends may call at the Greenwood Fargo Funeral Home 500 Hendricks Ave. Kaukauna from 4 until 9 p.m. Wednesday and after 8:30 a.m. Thursday until the cortege leaves for the church.
    There will be a parish prayer service 8 p.m. Wednesday evening. A memorial fund has been established in his name.

    Obituary:
    Thomas (Tom) Schmitt, age 78, of New London, passed away on Mother's Day at his home. He was born on December 23, 1936 in Kaukauna to the late Milton and Rosemary Schmitt. He graduated from Kaukauna High School and later received Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. Tom spent over 40 years in education starting as an 8th grade teacher at St. Joe's in Appleton, and then serving as a guidance counselor in New London, Oconto, and Montello.
    Tom is survived by his wife Joan with whom he shared many happy years. Tom was incredibly proud of his four children: Mark, (Gwen), Bryan (Jill), Mike, and Anne (Jeff). Perhaps his greatest joy was watching his grandchildren in their many sports and academic activities: Elizabeth, Sam, Joe, Angela, Emily, Maria, Jenna, Cooper, Jase, and Mitchell. Tom was preceded in death by his brother Chuck, and is survived by his sisters Ginny (Donny) and Carol (Nick), and brother Lee. Tom was also survived by his beloved dog Molly.
    During Tom's life he enjoyed many activities which included owning Schmitt Bikes in New London and Hortonville with his son Bryan. Tom was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a former member of New London Jaycees, Wolf River Men's Club, Walleyes for Tomorrow, and the International Society of Magicians. Tom enjoyed gardening, and took great pride in his patch of raspberries. He was also very interested in the purple martins that flocked to the colony of houses in his backyard.
    Visitation services will be held at the Cline Hanson Funeral Home in New London on Tuesday, May 12, 2015, (TODAY) from 5:00-8:00pm. The funeral mass will be held at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church in New London at 11:00 on Wednesday. Friends may call on the family at the church from 9:30am until the time of service.

    Obituary:
    Charles J. "Chuck" Schmitt died on November 2 in San Jose, CA, after a long struggle with diabetes.
    Chuck was born on January 23, 1943 to Milton and Rosemary (Hooyman) Schmitt in Kaukauna. He graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1961 and joined the US Air Force in 1962. He served in Greenland and the Mediteranean area. He established several Boy Scout troops while in the service and was a member of the Order of the Arrow in scouting. Chuck moved to California in 1965 and worked with several non-profit organizations. He retired from the St. Vincent DePaul Society after many years as the Executive Director in San Jose. In the aftermath of the 1989 earthquake in the Bay Area Chuck organized the shipment of 375 tons of emergency supplies to victims in the Monterey Diocese.
    His favorite retirement activity was attending storage unit auctions.
    Chuck is survived by his brothers Thomas (Joan) of New London, Lee (Shirley) of Fond du Lac and his sisters Virginia (Don) Orheim of Manitowoc and Carol (Nick) Van Eyck of Kaukauna. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends and a special niece, Amy Orheim.
    He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister-in-law Ginger (Kieffer) Schmitt; and a brother -in-law Richard Sarnowski.
    The funeral liturgy for Chuck will take be held on Saturday Nov. 26, 2011 at St. Katherine Drexel Parish, St Mary's Church in Kaukauna with Father Jerome Pastors officiating. Visitation at church from 10 am until the Mass at 11 am.
