Obituary:
Margaret West, 87, Darboy, died unexpectedly Friday, August 24, 2007, at St. Elizabeth Hospital. She was born April 27, 1920, in Little Chute, daughter of Henry and Mary (Van Groll) Vanden Boogard. Margaret married Raymond West June 25, 1949, and he preceded her in death February 11, 1984. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Darboy.
Mrs. West is survived by three daughters: Theresa (Jerry) Ziegelbauer, Fond du Lac; Doris (Xavier) Sandoval and Lynette (Daniel) Romero, both of Appleton; seven grandchildren: Stephen (Joy), Matthew (Melissa) and Lucas (Jaci) Strasburg, Ivan (Shari) and Anton (Jenny) Sandoval, Michelle (Kyle) Pitzner and Pamela (Chad) Ewald; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters and a brother: Roseann Verboomen, Agnes (Elmer) Vandenberg and Harry (Gladys) Vanden Boogard.
Margaret was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters and brothers-in-law: Clara (Willard) Wildenberg, Marion (Richard) Vande Voort, Theresa Vanden Boogard and Clarence Verboomen and a son-in-law, Gary Strasburg.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 28, 2007, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Darboy, with Fr. Kenneth Frozena officiating. Interment will be in Holy Angels Cemetery, Darboy. Friends may call at the Verkuilen Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and at the church from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the mass.
