Obituary:
Martha Elaine Verhagan, age 82, of Wrightstown, passed away Sunday, November 16, 2014. She was born April 10, 1932 in Benderville to the late George and Theresa (Vickman) Lindsley.
On May 24, 1952, Martha married Raymond M. Verhagen at St. Sebastina Catholic Church in Isaar. Martha worked for the shoe factory in Wrightstown until its closing. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Wrightstown. Together, Ray and Martha enjoyed traveling.
Survivors include: her sister, Lucy Klarner of Seymour; sisters-in-law: Rosemary (Byron) Derricks of Kaukauna and Grace Verhagen of New London; nieces, nephews; a very special young man, CJ, as well as other relatives and friends.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; brother-in-law, Bob Klarner; Ray's brothers and sisters: Raphael (Ray's twin who died as an infant), Norbert (Salvina), Leo, Marie (Lewis) Clark, Mildred (Roger) Powell, Agnes (John) Penterman, Clara (John) Rutten, Helen (Ray) Springstroh and Eunice (Milton) Borta.
Family and friends may visit at St. Clare Parish-St. Paul Site, Wrightstown, on Tuesday, November 18, from 6:00pm-8:00pm. A parish prayer service will be held at 7:30pm Tuesday evening. Visitation will continue on Wednesday from 10:00am until the hour of Mass at 11:00am, with Fr. Dennis Bergsbaken officiating. Interment in St. Paul Cemetery, Wrightstown.
