    Obituary:
    Alvina E. Verbockel, Kimberly, age 102, passed away on Saturday evening, November 8, 2014 at Kimberly Assisted Living. She was born on May 29, 1912 in Greenleaf, daughter of the late William and Cecelia (Brittnacker) Gustman and moved to Oneida at the age of five. She only spoke German and had to learn English in the 1st grade at St. Joseph Catholic School. She met her husband at a dance in Oneida and married Henry Verbockel on February 8, 1932 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. They moved to Dundas and rented until they bought a farm on Military Road in 1939 which they farmed their entire married life. Alvina had her first airplane ride and her first time out of Wisconsin in 2001, a gift from granddaughter Dawn Aerts. After that she went on many more trips including Washington, D.C., Yellowstone, the Badlands, and throughout Wisconsin with her daughter Helen. Alvina had many hobbies which included Sewing, knitting, crocheting, gardening, and most of all reading. She has been very thankful for her good health throughout her long life.
    Alvina and Henry had five children: Helen, Ralph, Florence, Henry, Jr., and Alvin. She is survived by three children: Helen Guilfoyle, Port Edwards, Ralph, Stockbridge, and Florence (Jim) Hietpas, Sherwood; two daughters-in-law: Marilyn Verbockel, Shiocton and Jean Verbockel of Kaukauna; 21 grandchildren and 3 step-grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 22 great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Henry, two sons: Henry, Jr. and Alvin, a son-in-law, Jim Guilfoyle, a daughter-in-law, Betty Verbockel, a grandson, Jeffrey Hietpas, and a great-granddaughter, Rochelle Andersen.
    The Mass of Christian Burial for Alvina will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, November 15, 2014 at ST. KATHARINE DREXEL PARISH @ ST. ALOYSIUS CHURCH, 2401 Main Avenue in Kaukauna with Fr. Jerry Pastors celebrating. Interment will be in St. Mary Cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the mass.

    Hugh H. Heimerl, 84, De Pere, formerly of Greenleaf, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning October 8, 2017. He was born April 14, 1933 to the late Antone and Erma (Hockers) Heimerl. On June 27, 1959 he married Bonnie Mommaerts at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Green Bay. Hugh was a lifelong farmer who loved the outdoors, whether fishing, or hunting. Hugh enjoyed bowling and a good game of cards. He was also a past volunteer Greenleaf firefighter, lifelong member of St. Clare, Greenleaf Catholic Church and choir member. It was time he spent with his wife, children and grandchildren that meant the most to him.
    He is survived by his children, Tina (Tom) Ackerman, Tim (Karen) Heimerl, Beth (Mike) Van Rossum, Lisa (Jim) Guns, daughter-in-law Laura Heimerl, as well as his grandchildren, Sarah (Mike), Ali (special friend Robert), Michelle (special friend Kyler), Courtney (Michael), Drew, Junior, Tyler (Alysha), Nick, Taylor, Evan, and Logan. Hugh's great grandchildren, Logan, Brianna, Levi, Simon, Andrew, Lincoln, and Margaret. His sisters, Ann Ley, and Jane Pennings, as well as brother-in-law Gary (Mary) Mommaerts, and sisters-in-law, Betty Heimerl, Phyllis (special friend Don) Heimerl, Donna (Jerry) Heimerl, and numerous nieces, nephews, and godchildren survive him.

    Mary Ellen Cornelissen, 70, Greenleaf, passed away peacefully early Monday morning at home with family present after a year long battle with cancer. She was born September 2, 1939 in Green Bay, a daughter of the late Marcus and Margaret (DeCleene) Leick. On September 2, 1963 she married Jack Cornelissen.
    Mary Ellen was a selfless person and considered the "rock" of her family. She found the good in everyone. She was a shoulder to lean on and a friend to all. She was a faithful member of St Clare Catholic Church - St. Mary site; she enjoyed fishing, gardening, baking especially with her grandchildren, going to the grandchildren's sporting events, and spending time with her family and friends. Mary Ellen loved to travel with Jack, especially to Florida where she leaves behind many family and friends. Mary Ellen was also an active member of the Greenleaf/ Wrightstown Optimist Club with which she lived out her life through the Optimist Creed. She worked at June Zimonick Studio and was a caregiver for June and Bob for many years.
    Mary Ellen is survived by her husband Jack; children Joleen (Scott) Gosha, Darren (Donna) Cornelissen, Corey Cornelissen, Nicole (Bob) Hoffmann, and Shawn (Mary Beth) Cornelissen; ten grandchildren: Tyler, Travis, Ryan, Austin, Paige, Kearstin Cornelissen, Isaac, Olivia, and Evan Hoffmann, and Nathan Gosha. She is further survived by her siblings Lou (Paul) Wiegert, Roger (JoAnn) Leick, John (Joan) Leick, Dick (Barb) Leick, Marlene (Glenn) Geurts, Tom (Linda) Leick, Gary (Marlene) Leick, and Ann (Randy) Smits; Jack's family Carol (Bill) Burke, Germaine Diny, Mary Lou (Lloyd) Gussert, Jerry (Bonnie) Cornelissen, and Sandra Greenley; and numerous nieces, and nephews.

Henry was born on May 8, 1940, son of Henry and Alvina (Gustman) Verbockel in Woodville Township (Calumet County). On July 5, 1966, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Muthig in Menomonee, Mich.
    Henry worked for Badger Highway as a Operating Engineer for 33 years, retiring in 2002. He was a member of the Local #139. In his younger years he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time up north at the cabin.

    Alvin E. "Al" Verbockel, age 67, of Kaukauna, passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2009, at Cherry Meadows with his family at his side following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on April 11, 1942, to Henry and Alvina (Gustman) Verbockel. On August 4, 1962, he was united in marriage to Jean Mathiebe at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sherwood. Al was employed at Thilmany Paper Mill for 34 years from 1966 until he retired in 2000. Al was very well-known throughout the United States for his old Ford cars from the '50s, T-Birds, convertible and retractable. He also reproduced a lot of parts for these old Ford cars. Al will be sadly missed by all the friends he and Jeannie made throughout the years at the swap meets and car shows. He liked all the old cars, especially "The Great Pretender" (1958 Lowrider).
    Alvin is survived by the love of his life Jeannie, his wife of 46 years; his mother, Alvina, Kaukauna; a son, Richard (Nancy), West Allis; two daughters: Jacqueline Verbockel, Green Bay and Toni (Mark) Hoelzel, Kaukauna; three grandchildren: Andrew Verbockel, Freedom; Philip Hoelzel, Kaukauna; and his favorite granddaughter, Nichole Hoelzel, Kaukauna; a step-grandson, Michael Haulotte Jr., West Allis; two brothers: Ralph, Stockbridge and Henry (Marilyn), Shiocton; two sisters: Helen (James) Guilfoyle, Port Edwards and Florence (James) Hietpas, Sherwood; three brothers-in-law: Robert (Janet) Mathiebe, William (Marlys) Mathiebe, and Terry (Debra) Mathiebe, all of Brillion.     Robert J. Hoes, 66, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on December 6, 2013. He was born on October 11, 1947 to the late Albin and Catherine (Ebben) Hoes. Bob served in the Vietnam War where he was awarded the Military Merit Medal. In the Army he received specialized electronics training working on Cryptographic equipment. He recently retired after working 22 years for Miller Electric. Bob enjoyed researching genealogy, history, geography, and many other subjects. He liked playing trivia, and often won, due to his extensive general knowledge. Bob was also known for his gruff and dry sense of humor. Bob is survived by his wife of 45 years, Linda (Olson), his son Aaron (Kileen) Hoes, daughter Angela (Matt) Schilcher, siblings Carl (Jean), Rick (Joyce), and Mary, his cousins and other extended family members. Visitation for Bob will be held on Tuesday, December 10th at Pilgrim Lutheran Church 1731 St. Agnes Dr., Green Bay from 9:00 am until 10:45 am with a service to follow at 11:00 am.     Stephen D. Vondracek, age 22, of Greenleaf, died suddenly as the result of an automobile accident. The son of Daniel and Doreen (Johns) was born in 1994. He graduated from Wrightstown High School in 2012 and worked for Professional Plating, in addition to tending bar at the Evergreen, which he truly enjoyed. He was proud to own and ride a Harley. Stephen also enjoyed playing volleyball in summer, listening to country music and attending Hodag Country Festival, finding deals at the mall and craft shows, and perhaps most of all, spending treasured time with his sister Brittany.
    Stephen will be missed by his dad and mom, Daniel and Doreen; sister Brittany (fiancé Steven Trost) Vondracek; brother Kyle Johns; grandma Rose Ann Vondracek; aunts and uncles: Debbie (Doug) Thiele and children: Jamie, Ryan, Christopher, Heather and Tiffany; Denise (Brian) Tamm and children: Jenny (TJ) Moehr with their children Parker, Avah and Havannah, Doug (Dawn) Johns and son Dawson, Darrell (Mary) Johns and daughter Sara Johns and her daughter (Stephen's goddaughter) Sawyer, Deana (special friend George) Johns, Darcy Johns and David (Connie) Vondracek; other family and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents: Lowell and Shirley Johns; his paternal grandpa Alfred Vondracek; and family friend Ron Bockin
    Family and friends may visit at St. Clare Parish-St. Mary Site, 2218 Day Street, Greenleaf, on Sunday, November 6, from 3-7 pm, with a parish prayer service to conclude the evening. Visitation will continue on Monday, at the church, from 9:30 am until 10:30 am. Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am with Fr. Brian Wideman officiating. Burial in the church cemetery. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
    Our family would like to thank County Rescue, the Brown County Sherriff's Department, and Morrison Fire Department for their compassionate efforts.
