Obituary:
Walter Robert "Bob" Skenandore, 74, Oneida, died early Sunday morning, Aug. 5, 2007, at home.
The son of the late Dixon and Mildred (Parquet) Skenandore was born Dec. 31, 1932, in Oneida. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force for four years.
On Jan. 4, 1953, he married the former Evelyn Metoxen in Oneida.
Walter had worked at Chudnow Iron and Scrap Metal in Milwaukee for many years. They moved back from Milwaukee to the Oneida area in 1995. Bob enjoyed the outdoors, especially walking, biking, gardening and fishing, as well as watching football, playing bingo and spending time at the casino.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn; their children, David Skenandore, Stanley; Robert Lee and Linda Skenandore, Seymour; Elaine and Donald Terpstra, Flager, Fla.; Debra and Steve Mauhar, Milwaukee; Jeffrey Skenandore and Marlyn Bielke, Milwaukee; Linda and Brian Bateman, Green Bay; Michael Skenandore and Angel Waupoose, Green Bay; Kristine and Jim Hughes, Milwaukee; 30 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, as well as six sisters, and other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Donna Jean Skenandore; one grandson, Robert Skenandore; one granddaughter, Rebecca Mauhar, and one brother.
Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 305 North Tenth Street, De Pere, from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007.
