Obituary:
Margaret H. Rodeghier, 88, formerly of 1200 Huntington Ave., died Sunday evening, Nov. 16, 2003, at Riverview Manor nursing home. Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The Rev. William Menzel will officiate. Burial will be in St. Martin 's Catholic Cemetery, Almond. Margaret was born Sept. 2, 1915, in the Portage County town of Almond to Michael and Matilda (Wendt) Patrykus. Her marriage to Lawrence Rodeghier ended in divorce. She was a waitress for several years at Wilpolt's Restaurant. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Margaret loved playing cards and was a great sports fan. She also loved spending time with her family. Survivors include three daughters, Jennifer Lukowicz, Marcia (Harry) Schmidt and Nancy Zakrzewski, all of Wisconsin Rapids; one son, Russell, of Reno, Nev.; 11 special grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; six great-great- grandchildren; and one sister, Tillie Carpenter, Arpin. She was preceded in death by seven brothers, Ed, Mike, Joe, Ray, Ben, George and Algie; and one great-grandson, Nathan. Friends may call at Higgins Funeral Home in Wisconsin Rapids from 4 p. m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday and 10 a.m. until the time of services Thursday. A parish prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be designated to the St. Vincent de Paul Parish Grade School .
