Wolfinger, Raymond “R.C.” Ch arles, AppletonAge 84, died on Sunday, December 14, 2003 at Appleton Medical Center. R. C. was born in Eland, Wisconsin on November 2, 1919, the son of the late H enry and Thalita (Stelter) Wolfinger. He loyally served his Country duri ng World War II in the U.S. Navy. R.C. married Celia “Billie” M. Byr ne in Milwaukee on June 15, 1946. She preceded him in death on January 2 3, 1987. R.C. will be greatly missed by his children, Patricia (Rodney) Pe tersen; James (Cynthia) Wolfinger; Wendy (Craig) Mikolanz; his brother, He nry; he was known as “Poppa” by his grandchildren, Ryan (Stephanie), Er ic and Kelly Petersen; Michelle (Tim) Sorenson and Bill (Tammy) Mikolan z; Megan and Nicole Wolfinger; “Great Poppa” by his great-grandchildren, O livia Sorenson; and Carson and Tanner Petersen. He was preceded in dea th by his daughter, Lori; sister, Verna Mullett; and brother, Earl. The me morial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Thursday, December 18, 20 03 at FIRST CONGREGATIONAL UNITED CHURCH of CHRIST, 724 East South River S treet, Appleton, with Rev. John T. Mcfadden officiating.
