    Joyce W. Kappell, of Appleton, died Thursday, February 16, 2006, at her ho me with her family at her side. She was born November 27, 1931, in Clinton ville, the daughter of the late Jay M. and Sara (Schulz) Weatherwax. Joy ce graduated from Clintonville High School and attended Fox Valley Technic al College. She moved to Appleton in 1950 and on October 15, 1955, she mar ried Robert J. "Whitey" Kappell. Joyce retired after 33 years as parish se cretary at All Saint's Episcopal Church, Appleton. She was a member of S t. Matthew Ev. Lutheran Church, Appleton. Joyce enjoyed being with famil y, friends, bowling, reading, cards and helping where ever needed.She is survived by her daughter, Debra (Robert) Bruskewitz of New Londo n; granddaughters: Tanya (Daryle) Perry of Oshkosh; and Tammy (Greg) Visse rs of Little Chute; grandsons: David (Amanda) Bruskewitz of Appleton; a nd Dennis Bruskewitz of Neenah; six great-grandchildren: Alex, Madison, Ca rly and Drew Bruskewitz, Zachary and Jonathon Vissers; sister: June Endr es of Appleton; brothers-in-law: Oward Kautz of New London; and Dona ld L. (Kathy) Kappell of Appleton; sister-in-law, Betty (Gene) Sprange rs of Black Creek. Joyce is further survived by nieces, nephews, other rel atives and friends.She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, on October 18, 1999, h er sister, Fern Kautz, two sisters-in-law, two nieces and a nephew.The funeral service for Joyce will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Februa ry 18, 2006 at ST. MATTHEW EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, 129 S. Mason St., Applet on with Rev. Jeffrey Verbeke and Rev. Paul T. Schuler officiating. Entombm ent will take place at Highland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held Fri day (today) at Wichmann Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday at t he Church from 10 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, a me morial fund has been established.
    The family wishes to thank ThedaCare at Home Hospice staff for all of the ir help and support.
