    Obituary:
    Frances H. Davis, 92, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, formerly of Mueller Street, Appleton, Wis. and Fond du Lac, Wis., entered eternal life peacefully on Saturday morning, Feb. 24, 2007, at the care center. Frances was born March 6, 1914, in Fond du Lac, Wis. She was the daughter of the late John J. and Clara Ellen (Kelly) Harlin. She was a graduate of St. Mary's Springs Academy in Fond du Lac, with the class of 1931 and continued her education at Mount Mary College, Milwaukee, where she graduated in 1935. On Nov. 4, 1939, Frances was married to George E. Davis of Fond du Lac at the Mount Mary College Chapel, Milwaukee. He preceded her in death in 1971. They resided in Appleton from 1940 until 2005, when Francis moved to Manitowoc. Frances was a longtime member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Appleton, and formerly of the Ladies of St. Mary's parish. She was also a longtime former member of the Appleton's Women's Club and of the Peabody Manor Auxiliary as a volunteer. She is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Thomas J. and Margie L. Davis, Manitowoc; John H. Davis, Melbourne, Fla.; three grandchildren, Elizabeth A. (Shane) Williamson, Appleton, Wis.; George E. (Shanna) Davis, Cumberland Gap, Tenn.; William R. Davis; Nashville, Tenn.; one great-grandson, Ryan C. Williamson, Appleton, Wis.; along with other relatives and friends surviving. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, George E. Davis, in 1971. Committal services will be held 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2007, at Calvary Chapel Mausoleum, Fond du Lac. Officiating will be the Rev. Gerald Foley. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, North 11th and St. Clare Street, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
