Obituary:
Elnora L. Hansen, age 95, of Willowdale Nursing Home, New Holstein, formerly of Brillion, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2008. She was born August 26, 1912, in Neillsville, daughter of the late Fred and Ida (Griepentrog) Schwantes. She married Harold Hansen on May 12, 1932, in Marshfield.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion, The School Club and the Brillion Senior Citizens. Elnora loved to play Bingo.
She is survived by her children: Barbara (Don) Graper of Brillion, Robert (Marlene) Hansen of Appleton, Beverly (John) Ambroso of Ada, Ronald (Sharon) Hansen of Appleton, Betty (George) Shamburek of Reedsville, Russell (Lori) Hansen of Appleton, Bonnie (Daniel) Gilson of Brillion; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Marion Seidl of Marshfield; two sisters-in-law: Adelaide Hansen of Kenosha and Myrtle Schwantes of Marshfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold on April 12, 1981; an infant daughter Sandra; two great-grandchildren: Sebastian Gilson and Elli Shamburek; two sisters and three brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 24, 2008, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion. The Rev. Ross Henzi will officiate. Burial will be in the Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery in Marshfield. Friends may call at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brillion from 9 a.m. Thursday morning until the time of service. The Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion is assisting the family with arrangements.
