    Lloyd Loewe, 94, Hilbert, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 19, 2008, at the Chilton Care Center. Lloyd was a lifelong resident of Hilbert, Wis. He was the son of John and Emma (Schilling) Loewe. He married Selvera E. Mack on June 6, 1939, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Brillion. Lloyd was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Hilbert, having served on the Church Council. He was elected to the Hilbert Village Board and the Calumet County Board of Supervisors. He was the first president of the Hilbert Kiwanis Club.
    Lloyd and his wife, Sally, owned and operated several businesses locally, the last being the Hilbert Drive-In on State Highway 57. During retirement, Lloyd and his wife spent their winters in Florida and Arizona.
    Lloyd and Sally were charter associate members of Mt. View Lutheran Church, Apache Junction, Ariz. Lloyd was president of the Apache Shuffleboard League. He was Western States Shuffleboard champion and a member of the USA shuffleboard team, playing against Japan, Canada and Australia. Lloyd was shuffleboard tournament chairman for the Apache Junction Chamber of Commerce. Later in life, summers were spent at Joy Harbor on Lake Metonga, Crandon, Wis. Lloyd loved to fish. He taught the art of fishing skillfully to his children and grandchildren.
    Lloyd's family includes his wife of 69 years, Selvera; his children, Robert (Eileen), Panama City Beach, Fla.; Bonnie (Roger) Vechart, Brillion; Barbara (Tom) Konen, Hilbert; 12 grandchildren, Jason (Jeri) Loewe, Jon (Allyson) Loewe, Jeff (Candace) Loewe, David (Lindsay) Loewe, Jeff (Kim) Vechart, Michael (Tracy) Vechart, Steven Vechart, Tiffany (Jeremy) Piepenburg, Tricia (John) Peters, Todd (Jennifer) Konen, Troy (Melessa) Konen, Terry (Kristy) Konen; 21 great-grandchildren, Luke, Emma and Jackson Loewe, Drew and Haley Loewe, Samuel Loewe, Keely and Abby Vechart, Morgan Vechart, Ellise, Hannah, Isaiah and Isabel Peters, Tristan, Gabrille, Riviera and Cashtan Konen, Monet and Talen Konen and Kali and baby Konen; nephews, Peter (Pat) Malkoff and Rodney (Alice); sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Eldore and Aloce Goldschmidt, Brillion.
    Lloyd was welcomed into Heaven by his parents; sister, Mildred Malkoff; and two great-granddaughters, Riviera and Kali Konen.
    Funeral services for Lloyd will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 22, 2008, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Hilbert with the Rev. Brian Crane officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. and also at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
    A memorial is being established.
    The Wieting Funeral Home in Brillion is assisting the family with arrangements.
