    David L. Hoeft, 55, Shawano, died on Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2008, as a result of injuries received in a snowmobile accident. Born on Jan. 8, 1953, in Shawano, he was the son of Annabelle (Watters) and the late Erwin Hoeft. David served with the U.S. Army and then had been employed as a semi driver at Catencamp Transport of Shawano. For the past 16 years he has driven for N&M Transfer of Neenah. He was an avid Packers fan, enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his son, Shawn. He attended the Shawano Assembly of God Church.
    David is survived by his son, Shawn, and Shawn's mother, Wanda Beckman, Ogdensberg; his mother, Annabelle Hoeft, Shawano; brothers and sisters, Karen (David) Orienti, Birmingham, Ala.; Donald (Kathy) Hoeft, Appleton; Sandra (Steve) Duley, Pulaski; Hollis Hoeft, Appleton; Mark Hoeft, Shawano; Mary (Steve) Hammen, Freedom; nieces and nephews.
    He was preceded in death by his father, Erwin; and a sister, Donna.
    Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009, at the Swedberg Funeral Home, Shawano, with Pastor Dan Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Tigerton. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
