Obituary:
Dorothy E. Swoboda, 96, Menasha, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 6, 2008, at Brewster Village. She was born on May 22, 1912, in Antigo, the daughter of the late Martin and Barbara (Plzak) Noskowiak. On Oct. 12, 1935, she married Walter Swoboda at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, Antigo. Dorothy was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Menasha. She enjoyed bowling, playing cards and the Packers.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Carole (Jack) Berg, Glenview, Ill.; Jerry (Christine) Swoboda, McHenry, Ill.; and Richard (Connie) Swoboda, Neenah; 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Dorothy will be missed by all her new friends at Brewster Village.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Peach" Swoboda and many sisters and brothers.
The funeral liturgy for Dorothy will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2008, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 212 Appleton Street, Menasha. Father Paul Radetski will be officiating. Interment will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery, Menasha. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass.
