    Obituary:
    Mary L. Karls, age 57, of Chilton, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Wednesday, February 24, 2010, at her home. She was born May 20, 1952, in Fond du Lac, daughter of the late Arno & Genevieve (Wrensch) Luchterhand. She married John Karls on October 6, 1973, at St. Luke Lutheran Church. During her life, Mary worked at Aluminum Specialty and Chilton Metal Products before taking over her mom's Watkins and Fuller Brush sales in 1984. Mary was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church, where she also had served as the Sunday School Superintendent. She loved animals and enjoyed to sing, paint pictures, take photographs, and spent as much time as she could out in nature. Faith and family were very important to Mary. Her family and friends brought her the most joy; she always enjoyed the time she could spend with family and friends, especially around the dinner table. Every life she touched, they could feel the love of Jesus Christ through her.
    Survivors include her husband: John; two children: Kristopher (Tina) Karls, Chilton; Derek (Terri) Karls, Chilton; her mother-in-law, Marie Karls, Chilton; a brother, Arno Luchterhand Jr., Hilbert; a sister, Marsha (Tony) Goeser, Chilton; sisters-in-law: Beverly and Diane Luchterhand, Chilton; Rosie (Melvin) Meier, Chilton; Dorothy (Mark) Ward, Naples, FL; brothers-in-law: Daniel (Joyce) Ditter, Jim (Sharon) Karls of Chilton, Lyle (Rosanne) Karls of Chilton; special nieces: Ann (Jerry), Jody (Brian), Melissa (Adam), Amanda (Tommy); and her special friends: Nancy Soliven and Megan Hoffman.
    Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 1, 2010, at St. Luke Lutheran Church (W3120 Killsnake Rd.) in Chilton with the Rev. Jim Plackner officiating. Burial will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, 2010, and on Monday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A memorial fund has been established in the name of Mary L. Karls.
