Obituary:
Connie K. Hensel, 70, New London, died on Sunday, Dec. 26, 2010, following a lingering illness. Connie was born on July 10, 1940, daughter of the late Herman and Helena (Schmidt) Brennenstuhl. She was united in marriage to Harlan Hensel on March 28, 1964. He preceded her in death on Aug. 9, 2009. Connie lived in the New London area all her life. She was employed at the First State Bank until she retired to raise her family and help her husband run the family farm.
Connie is survived by a daughter, Sue (Alan) Gorges, New London; son, Dave (Renee) Hensel, New London; five grandchildren; a sister, Darla (Bob) Poppy, New London. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Connie will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 28, 2010, at 11 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with the Rev. Marcus Schulz officiating. Burial will be in the Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
