Luedtke, Larry L. Medina, Wisconsin On August 17th, 2011, Larry Louis Luedtke passed into his Lord's loving arms, surrounded by his family, after a short, courageous battle with cancer. He was born into life on October 3, 1942, to the late Alfred and Leona(Grosnick)Luedtke. Larry resided his entire life at the family farm, dairy farming and cash cropping with his beloved John Deere tractors. Larry was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Dale. On September 7, 1968, Larry married the love of his life, Ruth Ann Jenkel. In addition to farming, Larry also served as chairman of the Town of Dale, held numerous offices at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and was a member and officer of Outagamie Forage Council, and in the last few years, Larry drove milk truck for Weyauwega Star Dairy. In 1974, Larry won the Outstanding Young Farmer award for the area. His proudest moments included spending time with his grandchildren, and sharing that time driving them around the farm. Memories were shared on his John Deere Gator with Ben, on the combine with Brice, the tractor with Brenna, playing checkers with Brett, riding his horse with Sara at Breakfast on the Farm, and the Timber Rattler games with Seth. Larry is survived by his wife, Ruth; his three children, Cheryl(Jeff)Harrmann of Medina, and their children, Seth, Sara and Ben; Jim(Krista)Luedtke, of Medina; Barb(Bill)Thiel, Auburndale, WI, and their children, Brice, Brett, and Brenna. Larry is further survived by his brothers and sisters, Leon Luedtke, Hortonville, WI; Sue(Roger)Sievert, Fremont, WI; Carol Struensee, New London, WI; Alice(Ken)Jennerjohn, Hortonville, WI; Lou(Karen) Luedtke, Dayton, OH; Len(Diane)Luedtke, Amherst Junction,WI; Joan(Marcus)Brei, Neenah, WI; and Jean(Grant)Waltke, Rio Rico, AZ; a sister-in-law, Sue Krenke, Fremont; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He is also survived by his trusty little horse, Mick. Larry was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Alvin Krenke. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Paul's Ev. Lutheran Church, N914 Dale Ave, Dale. Rev. Bill Finn will officiate. Burial will be in Dale Union Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Friday(TODAY) at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 AM until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established.
Dear Grandpa, we will miss you and we love you and we will take good care of Mick for you. Love, Seth, Sara, Brice, Ben, Brett and Brenna.

The family would also like to extend a Thank You to all of the wonderful nurses and staff at Appleton Medical Center, New London Family Medical Center and ThedaCare at Home hospice, who helped support us the last two weeks.
