    Reverend Donald F. Marquardt, 85, Green Bay, entered eternal life Monday, July 23, 2012.
    Father Marquardt was born August 9, 1926 in Green Bay, WI to Alfred and Frances (Steiner) Marquardt. He attended St. Francis Seminary and was ordained at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral by Bishop Stanislaus V. Bona on May 19, 1951.
    Father's first appointment was Assistant at St. Mary Parish in Oshkosh (1951). He was appointed Assistant at St. Joseph Parish, Sturgeon Bay (1955); Holy Cross Parish, Kaukauna (1958); and Ss. Peter and Paul Parish, Green Bay (1961). He was appointed Administrator of St. Hedwig Parish, West Kewaunee (1964), and Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Aurora (1968). After a short leave of absence from October, 1970 to June, 1971, he was appointed Pastor of Holy Trinity Parish, Pine Grove (1971) and later Pastor of Sacred Heart Parish, Two Rivers (1975). Father also served on the Board of Directors of Roncalli High School (1976). Father retired in August, 1996.
    Father was also Chaplain of Abbot Penning's Knights of Columbus Council 3955, and assisted at St. Mary Catholic Community and St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church both in De Pere after retirement.
    Father is survived by his two sisters, Ruth Tilkens and Rita Van Iten; brother, James Marquardt; brother-in-law, Henry King; numerous nieces and nephews.
    Father was preceded in death by his mother, Frances; step-mother, Violet; father, Alfred W.; brothers, Richard and Norbert; sisters, Mary Jean Rocque and Eva King; brothers-in-law, Harold Tilkens, Merlin Van Iten and Richard Rocque, and sister-in-law Margaret Marquardt.
    Reception of Father Marquardt's body will be at 4:00 p.m. by the Regional Vicar, Reverend Richard Getchel, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 4805 Sportsmans Dr, Ledgeview on Thursday, July 26, 2012. Visitation will follow with an Abbot Pennings Knights of Columbus Council 3955 service at 6:30 p.m. and a Parish Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. bringing the visitation to a close. Friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. The Funeral Liturgy, expressing our faith and hope in the promised glory of the Lord's Resurrection, will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 27, 2012 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ledgeview with Bishop David L. Ricken officiating, Bishop Robert F. Morneau and Bishop Robert J. Banks concelebrating and also with Reverend John H. Harper as the homilist.
    Interment in Allouez Catholic Cemetery. Cotter Funeral Home is assisting the family. On-line condolences may be expressed at cotterfuneralhome.com.
