Obituary:
Eugene B. Krahn, age 81 of Venice, Florida, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2013 at Peabody Manor, Appleton. Sam was born December 18, 1931 to the late Arthur and Agnes (Wick) Krahn. He served his country in the United States Air force from 1951 to 1955. Sam owned & operated Appleton Window Cleaning for many years before becoming the bar manager at Butte Des Morts Country Club and the Appleton Elks Club. Sam was an avid Packer fan & brought his love of the Packers with him to Venice, Fl where he spent his last 18 years. He had a passion for boating & a love to go dancing with his wife Betty.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge, the VFW & the American Legion in Venice Fl.
He is survived by his children; Dean Krahn and Melissa (Rob) Polzin, his grandsons; Sebastian and Skyler as well as several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Preceding Eugene in death are his parents, his brother Antone (Rosie) Krahn, his sister Mary (Bill) Besch and his wife, Florence E. "Betty" Corwin.
Family will receive visitors from 1-3pm, Sunday, June 2, 2013, at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N Richmond St, Appleton, followed by a celebration of Sams life. Location to be announced…
A memorial service with military honors will take place at a later time in Venice, Florida.
