Obituary:
Harold F. Mueller, 86 of Appleton, died Wednesday July 31, 2013 at his residence. He was born May 29, 1927 in the town of Grand Chute, son of the late, Herbert and Amanda (Quandt) Mueller. Harold married Ruth Lapp on September 02, 1950. Ruth preceded him in death on August 23, 2000.
Harold served his country honorably in the U.S. Army/ Air Corp during WWII. He was a charter member of Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, Appleton, where he helped as an usher, and assisted with communion. Harold worked for Wisconsin Natural Gas Company. He was a member of Waverly 51 Masonic Lodge, where he was past master; member of the Order of the Eastern Star lodge #94, he was awarded Worthy Patron of the Eastern Star; Harold was also a member of the Beja Shriners in Green Bay. He enjoyed hunting, Harold donated his time to helping with the Masonic handicapped deer hunt. Harold could always be counted on to help a friend or neighbor.
Harold is survived by his son, Scott (Lisa) Mueller, Neenah; three grandchildren, David Brylski (fiancée Alisa), Appleton, Kaitlyn (Joel) Vondracek, Menasha, and Sean Mueller, Neenah; one great-grandson, Braydon Brylski ; a brother, Alvin (Mary Ann) Mueller, Appleton; two sisters-in-law, Marion Beyer, Shawano, and Lola Mae Lapp, Appleton; a niece, Norma Gehring, Appleton; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins. Harold was further preceded in death by two brothers, and one sister.
Funeral service will be 11:00 AM on Tuesday August 6, 2013 at OUR SAVIOUR'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 3009 N. Meade St Appleton, with Rev. Kurt Hoffman officiating. Visitation will be held at Valley Funeral Home on Monday August 5, from 4:00 until 7:00PM, and again at church on Tuesday from 10:00AM until the hour of service. Full military honors will follow. Entombment will be at Highland Memorial Park.
