    Green, Harriet (nee Schumacher) Seymour Our Mother, Harriet, age 89 years, went to her eternal home on February 24, 2007, to join her husband, Norbert A. Green, who passed away August 27, 1989. She was born January 13, 1918, in Little Chute, and moved to Kaukauna shortly thereafter. Harriet was the oldest of four children to the late William and Louise (Williamson) Schumacher. Harriet and Norbert lived and farmed for over forty years in the Town of Kaukauna and moved to the Village of Freedom in 1976. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 14, 1987.
    Harriet was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and the Freedom Golden Agers. She was an avid card player.
    She is survived by her son, Earl and Bernie Green; daughters: Elaine and Dan Bowers, Joyce and Jim Golden, Janet and Jim Van Hoof and Donna and Bob Woldt; 23 grandchildren: Mike, John, David, Donn, Sue, Ann, Pat, Paul, Bob, Dale, Ken, Ed, Dan, Lynn, Deb, Kim, Kari, Kelly, Mark, Kip, Sherri, Jill and Sara and 48 great-grandchildren. Harriet is further survived by Norbert's brothers and sisters: John (Germaine) Green, Freedom; Frances Wieland Moundry, Kaukauna; Rosella Kortz and Verna Berkens, Little Chute; Eleanor and Bud Bowers, Wrightstown; Jim Van Vreede and Beady Green, Kaukauna.
    Harriet was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Andrew VanDera; brothers: Nicholas and Henry Schumacher; great-grandson, Aaron Gerdman; father and mother-in-law John and Dora Green. Norbert's family, Vince and Elaine Green, Bill and Lorraine Green, Florence and Leo Schmidt, Bob Green, Esther VanVreede, Charlotte Green, Orin Kortz, Gerald Berkens, Leo Wieland and Harry Moudry.
    The funeral liturgy for Harriet will be held at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2007, at ST. NICHOLAS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Freedom, with Fr. Dave Hoffman officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Visitation will be held at the Church on Thursday, from 2 p.m. until the time of mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Nicholas Catholic Church and the Freedom Food Pantry appreciated.
    The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the nurses at Parkside Care Center. Your care, love and compassion were so evident during mother's stay. Thank you for making Parkside "her home" during her final days. Special thank you to Fr. Dave Hoffman, Deacon Don, the pastoral staff from St. John Catholic Church, Little Chute and to Dr. Richter. Also, Erv DeBruin and Fran Kempen for all his jokes which really made her day.

On M ay 17, 1941, Marie married Andrew Van Dera in Freedom; he preceded h er in death on Feb. 26, 2000. Marie enjoyed reading, knitting, sewing, a nd the company of her dog Tammy.     Darlene M. McAndrews, age 69, passed away Monday, January 12, 2015, at Brewster Village after a lengthy illness. Darlene was born on February 25, 1945 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, daughter of the late Andrew and Marie Van Dera. On November 20, 1971 Darlene married Mark McAndrews in Kaukauna. Darlene was employed at Bergs Dry Cleaners, Kaukauna Klub, Larry's Piggly Wiggly and as a crossing guard for the City of Kaukauna.
    Darlene is survived by her husband, Mark McAndrews, Darboy; son, Brian (Kelly) McAndrews, West Bend; two grandchildren, Miranda and Cameron McAndrews. She is further survived by two brothers, Leroy (Judy) Van Dera, Mackville, Gordon (Pam) Van Dera, Kaukauna; sister, Linda (Marshall) Bayorgeon, Kaukauna.
    Darlene is preceded in death by her parents and late husband, Bernard Hruska.
    Visitation will take place on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 4 pm until the time of service at 6 pm at O'CONNELL FUNERAL HOME (1776 E. Main Street, Little Chute). Rev. Ron Belitz will be officiating. Inurnment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery.
    The family would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Tom Lewandowski, his staff and the staff on the 3rd floor and AMC. They kept Darlene going well past her expiration date, with a good quality of life.

    Robert F. Bowers, Freedom, age 50, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday December 19, 2013 after a courageous battle with Lou Gehrig's disease. Bob was born on November 18, 1963 to Dan and Elaine (Green) Bowers. He grew up in Freedom, attending St. Nicholas Grade School and Freedom High School. Bob was self-employed with Bowers Quality Painting. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, playing softball and pool. Bob loved to camp and travel. He adored his grandchildren and loved to spend time with them. Bob was a loving and carefree man that always put others first.
    Bob will be dearly missed by his parents, Dan and Elaine; fiancée Lisa Schadrie; daughters: Melissa (Jordan Hawks) and Tara (fiancé Brad Van Caster) Bowers; stepchildren: Justin (Jamie) Bain, Karley and Allie Schadrie; grandchildren: Morgan Penny Lynn Weeks and Mason Robert Bain; siblings: David (Beth), Paul (Shelly), Ken (Sally Radtke) Bowers, Kim (Don Dotson) Schiessl and Kari (Gary) De Bruin father-in-law: Larry Bain; and brother-in-law: Scott (Kim) Bain. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
    Bob was preceded in death by his former spouse, friend and mother of Melissa and Tara, Penny Lynn Murphy.
    Visitation will be held Monday December 23, 2013 at ST. NICHOLAS PARISH (W2037 County Road S, Freedom) beginning at 2:00 p.m. until time of Mass at 5:00 p.m. The Rev. Daniel Felton will officiate. In lieu of flowers, Bob's family will establish a memorial to benefit those affected by Lou Gehrig's disease.
    Bob, thanks for always being there for us. You fought an amazing fight, now go hit some homeruns in heaven. You will be forever in our hearts.

    On September 27, 2016, Owen James Verhagen entered into this world at 2:45 PM and went to meet the Lord 31 minutes later at, 3:16 PM. We take great joy from the time we had with him, and we have peace in knowing he watches over us every day.
    Owen is survived by his parents Eric and Amanda; sister Karlee Verhagen; grandparents: Tim and Carla Mueller and Greg and Sue Verhagen; Great Grandparents: Beatrice Mueller, LeRoy and Judith Van Dera, and Carol Just. Aunts/Uncles: Travis Mueller and Nichole Brady and their son Brady Mueller, Chelsea Verhagen, and Jeremy Verhagen
    Proceeded in Death By: Great Grandfather Fredrick Mueller, Great Grandfather Roger Just, Great Grandparents Don and Pat Verhagen.
