    Obituary:
    Richard J. Wood "Woody" Appleton age 63, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday morning, August 30, 2007, at his home. He was born on December 11, 1943, in Appleton to the late James and Jean (Wolfgram) Wood. Woody was a member of the Fox Valley Lutheran graduating class of 1962. After high school he proudly served his country with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. He worked for many years at Allis-Chalmers. Richard enjoyed working with electronics, computers, camping, and traveling.
    He will be sadly missed by his fiance, Beatrice Portillo, Appleton; sons: Shane Howe, Oshkosh, Vaughn Howe, Appleton; grandchildren: Adam, Amanda, Kenya Howe; sister, Cheryl Albee, Chicago; nieces: Heather Zalewski, Lauren Albee; grand-nephew, Jason; grand-niece, Allyson.
    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by all of his aunts and uncles.
    Funeral services for Richard will be held on Saturday, September 1, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at the Wichmann Funeral Home (537 North Superior Street) with Revs. Kurt and Mary Beth Kovanen officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
