    Obituary:
    Dahlen, Clarence J. "Joe" DCN
Joe Dahlen, of the Town of Ellington, returned to the arms of God on November 18, 2015 at the age of 90. He was born in Racine, WI on April 15, 1925, the son of Clarence and Florence (Pfeiffer) Dahlen. He was united in marriage to the former Margaret Williams at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Racine on July 12, 1947. He is survived by daughters, Beverly (Pedar) Bloom, Barbara (Stephen) Rocke, and Renee (Kurt) Aeschlimann, seventeen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren, brothers-and-sisters-in law, and numerous friends and relatives. He is preceded in death by his beloved Marnie, daughter, Peg (Reggie) Tobias, sister, Cecilia (Jim) Cox, brother-and-sister-in-law, Leroy and Lois Dahlen, and many other treasured relatives.
Joe served as a 1st Sgt. 98th Inf. Div. in WWII. He received his BA at Marquette University and an MA at University of Michigan. He served 35 years in Education as a teacher, principal, and administrator. He entered the Diaconal Program in the Archdiocese of Milwaukee in 1980 and was ordained as a Permanent Deacon on June 9, 1984. He served at St. Mary's Parish, Hales Corners, WI, until his retirement.
Joe loved God, children, gardening, playing cards, parties, telling corny jokes - and above all - being with Marnie, his lovely bride for over 66 years. He is remembered by all for his kindness, warmth, and generosity. We are grateful for his example of unfailing love in caring for his wife at home during her lengthy journey with dementia. He will be deeply missed by many and remembered with tenderness and fondness. We are blessed for the all the ways he touched our lives and the many lessons he taught us.
A Mass of Resurrection will be held at 12 noon on Monday, November 23, 2015 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, N2385 Municipal Drive, Greenville, WI with the Rev. Leonard Barbian officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Joe's family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Monday from 10 a.m. until the hour of the service. Full military honors will be performed graveside following the Mass.
The family would like to thank Katie, Phil, Nanci, and Cliff from Affinity Home Care and Hospice.
