Obituary:
Lucile Emma Eggert, age 94, of Appleton, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, March 30, 2013, at Appleton Retirement Community with her family by her side. She was born May 4, 1918 to the late Albert and Meta (Fiestadt) Sievert. Lucile was united in marriage on March 25, 1944 to Elmer Eggert. He preceded her in death in 2002.
Lucile was a lifelong member of the Freedom Moravian Church, where she was a member of the Friendly Service Circle, sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, and was the unofficial historian "who remembered everything." She was well known throughout the community as the "Egg Lady", and was an avid Milwaukee Braves and later a Brewers fan.
She is survived by her children: Lloyd (Donna) Eggert, Appleton; Ruth (Jim) Linnemann, Haslett, Michigan; Marvin (Carol) Eggert, Lanesboro, Minnesota; Joyce (David) Haven, Los Alamos, New Mexico; grandchildren: Raymond, Adam (Mandy), Nicole, Rachel, Michael, Susan, Christine, and Anthony; great-grandchildren: Abigail, Carson, James, Jordan, Autumn, and Rydn.
She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters-in-law: Clark (Hulda) Sievert, Dorothy (Elmer) Sievert, Clemens (Bernice) Eggert; nieces Arlene Jones and Bonnie Eggert.
Friends may call Tuesday, April 2, 2013 at Freedom Moravian Church, W3457 Center Valley Rd., Appleton, from 6-8 p.m. Visitation will continue at the church on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. until service 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Sandra Crase officiating. Burial will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton. Online condolences may be expressed at www.muehlboettcher.com .
Muehl-Boettcher Funeral Home, Seymour is assisting the family with arrangements.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
