Obituary:
Roger Ray Promer - Lansing Age 76, passed away, Tuesday, April 22, 2014, surrounded by his family.
Roger was born March 5, 1938, in Kaukauna, WI, the son of Raymond and Violet (Leach) Promer. A graduate of St. Mary's High School in 1956, Roger went on to graduate from Michigan State University. He worked as a CPA for many years retiring from Maner, Costerisan, & Ellis. He was a member of St.
Gerard Catholic Church, JCs, Optimist Club and the AICPA. Roger was preceded in death by his mother, Violet Promer, and two sons, Jeff and Jim Promer. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Jeri; children, Julie (Jim) Roberts, Jody (Marlene) Promer, Jon Promer and Jason Promer; brother, Larry (Percy) Promer; sister, Linda Middleton; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Celebration of the Funeral Mass will be Saturday, April 26, 2014, 1:30 PM at St. Gerard Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. John Klein as celebrant. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends, Friday, April 25, 2014, from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Home, Delta Chapel where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue at the church one hour prior to service on Saturday. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society in memory of Roger.
