He (age 29) & his brother Reinhold drowned in the Embarrass River, Town of Deer Creek, Sunday July 26, 1914 while trying to save brother in law William Werth age 15.
William & Reinhold were married at St John's Lutheran Church, Town of Deer Creek 3 years prior by Rev. Max Hensel who performed the funeral services on Wednesday July 29, with burial in Clintonville.

She w as born on October 10, 1914 in Menasha the daughter of the late William a nd Augusta (Werth) Krause. On August 25, 1939 she married Minden Deltge n. He passed away on November 7, 2001. She was a faithful member of Mou nt Olive Lutheran Church.She was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and wi ll be remembered by her children: Rodney (Doreen) Deltgen of Shiloh, Illin ois; Gloria (Neil) Krause of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin; and Jeffrey (Gail) De ltgen of Menasha; her grandchildren: Melody (Joe) Flores of Belleville, Il linois; Gloria (Joe) Lima of Swansea, Illinois; Brenda Weber and Minden Wi lliam (Lisa Marie) Deltgen both of Fairview Heights, Illinois; Andrea (Rob ert) Felle of Racine, Wisconsin; and Wenda (Jim) Easton of Wisconsin Rapid s, Wisconsin; her great-grandchildren: Nicky and Heather Lima, Spencer Web er, Amanda and Joseph Felle, and Kellee Easton; her sisters: Loretta (Geor ge) Dingledein of Boise, Idaho; Gladys (Roland) Peterson of Crivitz, Wisco nsin; and Laverne Zuleger of Crivitz, Wisconsin; her sisters-in-law: Moll ie Schinke, Florence Schinke, and Mavis Schinke, all of Appleton; sever al nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her special friends at Golden Home s. She was preceded in death by her husband Minden, a grandson Kelly Kraus e, her brothers Arnold, Ernest, Alvin, and John Schinke; and two brothe rs in infancy.A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, September 14, 2002 at 11 :00 AM at Mt. Olive Evangelical Lutheran Church, 930 East Florida Avenue w ith the Rev. Robert Raasch officiating. Interment will take place at River side Cemetery next to her husband.
