    Obituary:
    Green Bay - James "Jim" Woelfel, 72, of Green Bay, died on March 27, 2018, following a long illness. The son of the late Edward and Josephine (Theren) Woelfel was born July 19, 1945 in Appleton.
    Jim was a private commercial IFR pilot all of his life. During his career, he flew for Green Bay Aviation, Laird and Company, De Gayner and Company and Green Bay Packaging. He piloted for Merv Griffen and Company in California as well as the Hooters Franchise in Florida. In his later years, he was chief pilot for Nakmichi Research in Santa Monica. During all those years, he was proud to serve as pilot for H.J. Martin and Sons and the Martin Family. He was also a certified flight instructor and enjoyed sharing his passion for flying. Jim was a quiet, thoughtful man who had many friends.
    Survivors include one brother, Robert "Terry" Woelfel, a great aunt, Helen Klotz as well as many friends, including Calvin and Yvonne Lied, Edward Rousseau, Jim Zepnick, Marcia Mueller, Mary Kersten, Paul and Kathleen Kersten, and Gina, Lisa, and Michelle Kersten. He was preceded in death by one sister, Sandra Gehl.
    Private family services will be held with burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Stockbridge. In addition, Jim's close friends will be contacted regarding his Celebration of Life by his longtime friend, Michelle.
