    Sophia M. Nagreen, age 102 ½ , was called to her eternal rest on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at Parkview Health Center in Oshkosh. She was born on March 16, 1913, in Rankin, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Herman and Anna Teske. On June 10, 1933 Sophia married Clarence NaGreen at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Appleton. Together they were self-employed for most of their lives in various businesses in the Valley. They sold Rawleigh Products, built and operated the Flagstone Bar in the 1930's. They were engaged in farming in the 1940's and then built and operated the Club Terrace and The Log Inn. In the mid 50's, the moved to Fremont and bought and operated the NaGreen Hotel in Weyauwega until it burned down on June 10,1963. Clarence and Sophia were married for 67 years before he preceded her in death on January 6, 2001. Sophia always enjoyed sewing for herself and for friends. Clarence raised beautiful rabbits which she was able to make beautiful fur coats for the family. Sophia was a faithful member of Hope United Church of Christ in Fremont and was at one time, a very active member of their Ladies Guild. She enjoyed her flowers and gardening, always sharing her harvest with family and friends. Sophia also enjoyed canning, cooking and baking. She enjoyed visiting with family and friends and usually brought them goodies she had made. Sophia loved to watch Packer games, attending her one and only game at the age of 99. Sophia is survived by three daughters, Beverly(James)Kohl, Appleton; Nancy Anderson, Neenah; Judy(Cliff)Hahn, Fremont; eight grandchildren, Deborah(Chuck)Witt, Bonnie(Tom)Arps, Sue Nelson, Diane Corbin, Laura Nelson, Paul Nelson, Bryan(Lori)Hahn and Chris(Shari)Hahn; twelve great-grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren, and one great-great-great-grandchild; a br5other-in-law, Harold Jacobsen, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends; She was preceded in death by four sisters, Mable Teske, Myrtle Teske, Shirley Jacobsen, Lillian(Roy)Ellis, two brothers, and sisters-in-law, Walter and Reinee Teske and Milton and Rose Teske, a son-in-law, Vince Anderson and a grandson, David Nelson. Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 5, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Hope United Church of Christ, 8950 Alpine Rd. , Fremont. Pastor Alex Tychkin will officiate. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park in Appleton. Friends may call at the church on Monday from, 9:00 AM until the time of service. A memorial fund has been established.
    Sophia's family would like to offer their sincere thanks to the entire staff at Parkview Health Center for the love, care and compassion they offered to Sophia and her family. "Sophia had a kind and caring spirit and found pleasure in helping others"

    Teske, Milton G. "Mil t"Milton G. Teske, 83, Neenah, passed away Wednesday evening, July 5, 200 6, at Manor Care Health Services in Appleton, his home for the past six ye ars. He was born Aug. 31, 1922, to the late Herman and Anna (Duerst) Tesk e, in Appleton. Milton married Rosella R. "Rose" Bressers of Little Chut e, Wis., on Aug. 26, 1946; Rose preceded him in death Jan. 25, 2006. Mi lt enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in 1940. He participat ed in the occupation and capture of Guadalcanal, Tarawa Atoll, Saipan a nd Tinian, Midway Islands. He was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds rece ived in battle in Saipan. He was honorably discharged with the rank of Ser geant in 1946. Milt was a watch repairman for Marty Hupka Jewelers in Appl eton. After receiving his electricians license, he worked in industrial a nd residential services. He loved "hunting, fishing and partying in God 's country, Wisconsin." Milt was member of Martin Luther Ev. Lutheran Chur ch, Neenah, he was a Past Commander of the Oney Johnston-Edward Blessman A merican Legion Post #38 and a member for over 50 years. A long standing me mber of the Harvey Pierre VFW Post #2778. Milt also served as Chef de Ga re of the 40 et 8, Outagamie County Voiture #1140.Milton is survived by his daughter, Carleen (Robert) Brock, Hayesville, N. C.; two grandchildren, Lisa (Rob) Cushman, Dalton, Ga.; Andrew (Linda Leig h) Brock, Alpharetta, Ga.; two great-grandsons, Wil and Wyatt Cushma n. He is also survived by a sister, Sophia (Clarence) NaGreen, Fremont.He was preceded in death by a brother, Walter Teske and four sisters, Mild red and Mabel Teske, Lillian (Roy) Ellis and Shirley (Harold) Jacobson.Funeral services for Milton will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, July 13, 20 06, at the funeral home, with Reverend Jason Oakland officiating. Burial w ill be in Appleton Highland Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funer al home on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
