I don't have any definite pro of that we are talking about the same man, but I'd put money that they a re one and the same person. My connection to the man was his wife, Con stance Postlewaite Carpenter (sp)?? I was/am doing a genealogy on one branch of my family and Constance 's FIRST husband was connected to mine. He died and she moved out west wi th their young son, dis-associated herself with the family, and sometime t here after remarried to Mr. Murray. I did speak with her once years ago and wrote to her for her informati on which she begrudingly sent little tidbits about. However she was in Col orado Springs at the time. I just did a search for HER and found th at she passed away last June of all things. But as I said, I'd put money on that the person you're referri ng to is the same. What is your connection? I would like to be able to find Constance's grandchildren through Carp enter. Apparently I think Murray adopted her son through Carpenter if I r emember correctly. Let me know it that helps.
