    Weyenberg, Josephine,(nee Jos ephine Wildenberg)Age 99, died peacefully on Sunday, February 22, 2004 surrounded by her lov ing family at St. Paul Home in Kaukauna. Josephine was born in Little Chu te on April 12, 1904, the daughter of the late Walter and Catherine (Verku ilen) Wildenberg. On November 18, 1925, she married her beloved husband, G eorge Weyenberg, who preceded her in death on March 14, 1972 after 46 yea rs of marriage. For nearly all of their married life, George and Josephi ne resided on a farm in Kaukauna, where they raised six children. Josephi ne was a longtime and faithful member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kau kauna, and a member of the Christian Mothers.Josephine is survived by her children: sons: Melvin (Lucille) Weyenberg, F loyd (the late Margaret) Weyenberg, Donald (Barbara) Weyenberg, and Gera ld (Kay) Weyenberg, and daughters: Pearl (Jerome) Van Eperen and Elaine (t he late John) Brown. She is further survived by brothers: Owen Wildenbe rg and Merin (Margaret) Wildenberg: sisters: Mildred Langedyke and Virgin ia Smith, brother-in-law, Leslie Woechner, and sisters-in-law: Elva Wilden berg, Margaret Wildenberg, Lorena Weyenberg, Loretta Weyenberg, and Anna W eyenberg. She was a cherished Grandma to 38 grandchildren, dear "Grandma G reat" to 64 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great grandchildren, and Au nt to many nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents and husband, Josephine was preceded in dea th by her brothers: John (Myrtle) Wildenberg, Raymond (Helen) Wildenber g, Martin (Margaret) Wildenberg, Ralph (Katharine) Wildenberg, Clarence Wi ldenberg, Edward Wildenberg, Arthur Wildenberg, and Peter Wildenberg; sist ers: Ann (William) Behling and Nelda Woechner; brothers-in-law: Sylvest er Langedyke, Gerald Smith, Henry Weyenberg, William Weyenberg Sr., John W eyenberg, Joseph (Margaret) Weyenberg, and Theodore Weyenberg; sisters-in- law: Joyce Wildenberg, Mary (George DeCoster, George) Meyer, and Minnie (J ohn) Heindel, and eight precious grandchildren.Josephine's family planned to celebrate her 100th Birthday with a party ov er Easter weekend. He was born May 3, 1905 in Little Chute, s on of the late Walter and Katherine (Verkuilen) Wildenberg. He married Hel en Dick September 4, 1933 sharing 49 years together before her death Novem ber 13, 1982. Ray was employed an electrician for Kimberly-Clark for 48 ye ars and retired in 1970. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church. S urvivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Lois and Dale Schumaker; thr ee grandchildren: Stacey (Steve) Schoenke, Dr. Howard (Tina) Schumaker, Br ian (Jane) Schumaker; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Owen and Joyce Wild enberg, Appleton; and Merin and Peggy Wildenberg, Little Chute; three sist ers: Josephine Weyenberg, Kaukauna; Millie Langdyke, Little Chute; Virgin ia Smith, Neenah; two sisters-in-law: Mrs. (Art) Alva Wildenberg, Kaukaun a; Mrs. (Peter) Margaret Wildenberg, Little Chute; a brother-in-law, Les W eckner, Appleton. R alph was born in Little Chute on May 30, 1915, son of the late Walter a nd Catherine (Verkuilen) Wildenberg. Ralph was a 1933 graduate of St. Jo hn High School in Little Chute; and on June 3, 1939, he married the form er Kathryn "Kay" Mennen in Kimberly. She preceded him in death on May 2 1, 1981. Ralph was employed by the Kimberly Clark Mill in Kimberly until h is retirement in May of 1976. Ralph taught welding for many years at Apple ton Vocational School and served as a volunteer firefighter and as assista nt fire chief for the Village of Kimberly.     Mildred Langedyke, 96, Appleton, passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2014. Milly was born September 6, 1917, in Little Chute, daughter of Walter and Katherine (Verkuilen) Wildenberg. She married Sylvester "Whitey" Langedyke at St. Vibeanas Cathedral in Los Angeles, CA, on December 14, 1943. After World War II, Milly and Whitey moved back to Little Chute, and have resided there since 1945. Milly was a lifetime member of St. John Church, and was an active member of the St. Elizabeth Society serving as president in 1960 and 1961. Milly also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post and the Golden Agers, serving as secretary for four years. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing alongside Whitey, and playing cards with her friends from high school for over 60 years.
    Milly is survived by two sons: Bruce (Mary Lou Coutant) Langedyke, Altadena, CA; and Jim (Karen Schueler), Neenah; a grandson, Mathew Langedyke, Seattle, WA; three step-granddaughters: Cyndi (Scott) Dankmeyer, Lori (Zack) Reblin, and Becki (John) Hendrick; six great grandchildren: Gwen, Maggie, Alice, Sam, Haylee, and Brooke; a sister-in-law, Peggy Wildenberg and brother-in-law, Les Woeckner, Menasha. Milly is further survived by many nieces and nephews who were very important in her life.
    She was preceded in death by her husband, Whitey on December 3, 1999; a son, Tom in 1995; her parents, and 14 brothers and sisters.
    Mass of Christian Burial for Milly will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 25, 2014, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine Street, Little Chute, with Msgr. James Vanden Hogen officiating. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery, Little Chute. Visitation will be at the church from 9:00 a.m. Friday until the time of the Mass.     Virginia Smith, 94, Neenah, passed away peacefully Tuesday, August 20, 2013. She was born February 25, 1919, Little Chute, daughter of Walter and Katherine (Verkuilen) Wildenberg. Virginia married Gerald R. "Jerry" Smith on September 27, 1941 in Little Chute. He preceded her in death on December 14, 1987. Virginia worked for many years at Kimberly Clark Corp. in research and development. She was an avid golfer, ruthless card player, and daily crossword enthusiast. Virginia also enjoyed volunteering, traveling, and vacationing up north. She was a member of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, Neenah, and the Catholic Daughters of America.
    Virginia is survived by her children: Lynn Smith and Richard (Mary Jo) Smith; two grandchildren: Nicole Smith-Angwenyi, and Neil Smith; a sister: Mildred Langedyke; and many other relatives and friends.
    Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a daughter: Joan Mary Smith; and eleven siblings.
    Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 24, 2013, at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 620 Division St., Neenah, with Fr. Michael Ingold officiating. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Virginia's name.

    A defective cord on a lamp table has been singled out as the cause of a fire that took the lives of the six little children of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Weyenberg early Sunday morning according to a statement made by Kaukauna Fire Chief William Haupt. Mrs. Weinberg stated she had turned on the lamp in the living room Sunday morning before leaving the house to attend mass with her husband.
    A Mass of Angels was sung at Holy Cross Catholic Church this morning at 10 o'clock in final services for the six children who perished in a fire that swept their home early Sunday. Dead are Lynn, 7; Douglas, 6; Margaret, 5; John, 3; Barbara, 2 ½; and Michael. 1 ½. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery. Boys from Holy Cross school served as pallbearers a large crowd of mourners and friends attended the service at the church and cemetery.

Floyd served his country in the U.S. Navy f rom 1946 until 1951 being honorably discharged with the Victory Meda l. He married Margaret Dorsey on September 30, 1950, in Appleton.     Joseph M. Wildenberg, Little Chute, age 66, died Thursday September 25, 2014. He wanted me to tell everyone that he died unexpectedly. He never expected to live this long.
    Joe was born on December 23, 1947 in Plymouth, WI to the Merin and Peggy (Clark) Wildenberg. He was a member of the U.S. Army from 1966-69, having served in Vietnam from 1967-69 and was awarded a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Joe married Leanne Witthuhn on April 3, 1976 at St. Bernard Parish. He was a member of the Ironworkers Local #8 for 27 years before his retirement in 2000.
    Joe is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Leanne; son Jeremy (Isabel); grandchildren: Ethan, Seth, Kyra and Liam; mother Peggy; brothers: Mike (Gina) and Mark (Nancy); and sisters: Sue (Merl) Mantei, Kater (Steve) Gaffney and Carrie Bevers. He is further survived by in-laws: Larry (Elaine) Witthuhn, Deb (Bob) Gebheim, Cheryl (Mike) Seelow, Tim (Lori) Witthuhn, Terry (Kim) Witthuhn, Robin (Craig) Laehn and John Barkett; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
    In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by sisters-in-law: Sharon Wildenberg and Sandy Barkett; and brother-in-law: Mike Witthuhn.

    Derek Berghuis, 18, Kaukauna, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 25, 2014. He was born October 14, 1995, son of Jeff Berghuis and Shelly (Weyenberg) Berghuis. Derek graduated from Kaukauna High School, Class of 2014. He has been employed at Larry's Piggly Wiggly for several years, and just recently started working at Fox Structures. He loved working with his hands, and was always helping others with projects. Derek was a good young man, always there for his friends and family, and wanted everyone to be the best they could. He was everybody's "Little Buddy."
    Derek loved spending time up north. He enjoyed fishing, snowmobiling, four wheeling and spending time with family and friends in the Northwoods. Derek will truly be missed by the countless number of people whose lives he touched.
    Derek is survived by his loving parents: Jeff (special friend Jodie Knutson) Berghuis, and Shelly Berghuis; a brother, Michael (Amy) Berghuis; a sister, Holly (Bradley) Verhovec; a nephew, Kadence "KC" Verhovec; cousin, like a brother: Tylere Berghuis; grandparents: Dan & Donna Weyenberg, Bob & Dolly Berghuis and Dale Marquardt; great grandparents: Gladys Zielke and Ciel Weyenberg; aunts and uncles: John (Dawn) Berghuis, Jim (special friend Becky Huss) Berghuis, Sara (Todd) Hietpas, Molly (Don) Vosters, Amanda Hanstad and Mindy (Mike) Hanstad; cousins: Kirsten, Kara, Makenna, Zack, August, Anna, Laura, Adam, Ellie, Evan, Grant, Caleb, Autumn, Hunter and Kendra; numerous step cousins; girlfriend, Kimmy Felicitas; special friends: Philip H., Adam S., Drew M. and Travis V.; and many other extended family members and friends.
    Derek was preceded in death by his grandmother, Diane (Lenz) Marquardt; great grandparents: Melvin "Lefty" Weyenberg, Ves and Mary Berghuis, Jerome Vosters and Margie and Ray Heindl; and a great aunt, Bev Havel.
    Funeral services will be held at 4:30 p.m. Friday, August 29, 2014, at St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, 323 S. Pine St., Little Chute, with Fr. Ron Belitz officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Friday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the service. Condolences may be expressed by visiting www.verkuilenfh.com. In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Derek's name.
    The Berghuis and Weyenberg families would like to thank everyone for their love and support during this difficult time.
