    Mr. and Mrs. John Juckem and daughter, Priscilla, and Mrs. Anna Greuel, left Sunday for Bristol., S. D. to attend the funeral of Mrs. Greuel's brother. Alfred Wattier. They expect to visit relatives and friends in Dakota and Minnesota before returning home.

    Obituary:
    John A. Juckem Jr., 75, a Chilton farmer, died suddenly early Saturday afternoon at St. Elizabeth's Hospital, Appleton, after a short illiness. he had been admitted to the hospital for surgery Friday. A native of Brown County, he was born May 20, 1880 at Hollandtown, Wis., and moved to Chilton in 1887 with his parents, the late Mr. and mrs. John M. Juckem Sr. On Nov. 20, 1907, he was married to Miss Sylvia Greuel at Holy Trinity Church at Jericho. Since their marriage, the couple operated a farm on the north edge of Chilton, Mr. Juckem was a member of the Holy Name Society of St. Mary's Church. Surviviors are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Gervase (Evelyn) Graney of Neenah, Mrs. Lionel (priscilla Roach of Town Chilton, and Mrs. Fred (Vivian) Roesch of Milwaukee; a son, LeRoy, at home, and six grandchildren. He is also survived by two brothers, Joseph and Peter, of Town Chilton, and six sisters, Mrs. Mary Hartzheim and Miss Emma Juckem of Chilton, mrs. John Kolbe of Town Charlestown, Mrs. John Wolsinger of Darboy and Miss Clara Juckem and Mrs. Jacob Rammer, Sheboygan. One son and a sister preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church, Chilton, with the Rev. Joseph Bartelme, pastor, the celebrant of the requiem mass. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. The body will lie in state at the funeral home until the hour of services. A parish vigil will be held there at 8 o'clock tonight.

    Priscilla M. Roach, age 97, of Chilton, died on July 31, 2009, at Plymouth Care Center in Plymouth where she had lived for the last 8 months. She was born April 29, 1912, in Chilton, daughter of the late John and Sylvia (Greuel) Juckem. She married Lionel Roach on November 14, 1942, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilton. He preceded her in death on November 13, 1996. They had farmed together on the family homestead in the Town of Chilton until retiring in 1973. Priscilla enjoyed playing cards, traveling and gardening, and was a member of Good Shepherd Parish in Chilton.
    She is survived by her sister, Vivian Roesch, Brookfield; nieces and nephews, Jane (Anthony) Woelfel, Sheboygan Falls, WI; James (Marilyn) Juckem, Chilton, WI; Julie (Ronald) Schwartz, Sheboygan, WI; John (Liz) Roesch, Pickens, SC; Thomas (Cheryl) Roesch, Waukesha, WI; Gary Roesch, Morrison, CO; Greg (Jane) Roesch, Hartford, WI, and Linda (Ted) Honeck, Pewaukee, WI. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lionel; a sister, Evelyn Meehl; a brother, LeRoy Juckem; brothers-in-law, Gervase Graney, Urban Meehl, and Fred Roesch; and sister-in-law, Frances Juckem.
    Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2009, at Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton with Rev. Bob Kollath officiating. Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery.     Age 59, passed away at Calumet Memorial Hospital Thursday at 4:10 a.m. after a short illness. He was born at Chilton, February 20, 1916 the son of the late John and Sylvia Greuel Juckem. He attended St. Mary Parochial School, Chilton High School and the University of Wisconsin, Madison. Mr. Juckem lived and farmed in the Chilton area all of his life. He was a member of the Holy NameSociety of St.Mary Church in Chilton. He married Frances Binsfeld September 25, 1940 at St. John the Baptist Church in St. John, Wisconsin.     Evelyn E. Schneider, "Mrs. Kite", age 92, of Chilton, died on March 24, 2009. She was born on April 13, 1916, in Darboy, daughter of the late Anton and Mary (Juckem) Hartzheim. She married William A. Schneider on September 3, 1941, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Chilton; he preceded her in death on February 19, 2000. Evelyn was a beautician, and had her own shop in Chicago, prior to meeting her husband Bill. After their marriage she and Bill moved to Chilton, where they operated a dairy farm until retiring in 1980, when they moved into the City of Chilton.
    She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in Chilton, and the Christian Mothers. Evelyn was a member of several card clubs, where she loved to play Sheepshead. She enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening, playing the slot machines, fishing, Kelly Lake, and vacations at Shawano.
    Survivors include a daughter, Marian (Karl) Kaufman of Appleton; five sons: Robert (Alice) Schneider of Chilton; Ray (Veronica) Schneider of Mequon; James Schneider of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Peter (Cathy) Schneider of Forestville, CA; Philip (Bonnie) Schneider of Chilton; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
    She was preceded in death by her husband Bill, a son Steven, a grandchild, a brother Willard Hartzheim, a sister Sr. Mary Antoinette Hartzheim, and a sister-in-law Catherine Hartzheim.

    Herman J. Juckem, age 79, of Chilton, died on Monday, May 17, 2010, surrounded by his family at his home in Chilton. He was born February 8, 1931, in the Town of Chilton, son of the late Joseph & Catherine (Diedrich) Juckem. He married Juliana Thuecks on April 23, 1960, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho. Following his graduation from Chilton High School, he worked with his family on the family farm. In 1951, he joined the United States Army and faithfully served his country until his discharge in 1953. Herman began working at Tecumseh Products in New Holstein, until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, and was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus branch 2556. Herman was a simple man who enjoyed golfing, bowling and fishing. He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed it, and frequently helped his family on the farm. Herman took great pride in his family and loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.

    Anthony W. Juckem, 73, Crivitz (formerly Chilton), died on Monday, Sept. 26, 2011. He was born June 8, 1938, in the Town of Chilton, son of the late Joseph and Catherine (Diedrich) Juckem. He married Karen Kufahl on Oct. 24, 1959, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Stockbridge. Following his graduation from Chilton High School, he completed a heavy equipment certification program and worked for Hedrich Construction building bridges. Later he was co-owner of Juckem and Bancroft Inc. general contractors, and TDS Services tool and die business with his son. He also enjoyed farming his Tender Acres. He was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Chilton, and sang in the choir for over 20 years. After retiring to Crivitz, he belonged to Saint Mary's Catholic Church, Crivitz. He and his wife built their retirement home on the river of his dreams. He loved to bird watch, create in his woodworking shop, run his back hoe, read and help family and friends.

    Ottilia Daun, age 84, of 415 Dove St., Chilton, died on Thur. March 18, 2004 at the Calumet Homestead Nursing Home in New Holstein. She was born on Oct. 5, 1919 in the Town of Charlestown, daughter of the late John & Katherine (Juckem) Kolbe. She married Alfred J. Daun on May 8, 1940 at St. Martin Catholic Church in Charlestown; he preceded her in death on Jan. 14, 1999.
    She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho, the Christian Mothers, the Chilton Eagles #1288, and Sturgeon For Tomorrow.
    Survivors include three children: Mary Ann (Alan) Gooding, Green Bay; Shirley (Jim) Hagenow, Kiel; James (Darlene) Daun, Hilbert; nine grandchildren: Brian (Rebecca) Daun, Kelley (Chad) Wilkens, Julie Daun, Eric (Tracey) Hagenow, Roxanne (Boyd) Helmich, Nicole and Jessica Hagenow, Lisa Gooding, Gina (Don) Tully; 10 great-grandchildren: Dwayne, Erica and Faith Hagenow, Tristan and Garrett Tully, Wesley Wilkens, Zachery Daun, Miles, Kasey & Kyle Helmich; three sisters: Sally (Mike) Trimberger, Appleton; Dorothy (Rudy) Brenner, Chilton; Bertilda (Harold) Brenner, Mt.     She was also preceded in death by three brothers: Art, Roman and Andy Kolbe.
    Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Tue March 23, 2004, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Jericho, with the Rev. Loren Nys S.D.S. officiating. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery. Friends may call at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St. in Chilton) from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday and again on Tuesday from 9 to 10 a.m. when family prayers will be held. An Eagles Club prayer service will be held at 6 p.m. followed later by a parish prayer service at 7 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.

    Leonard J. Kolbe, age 92, of Chilton, died on Friday, May 24, 2013 at Century Ridge, in Chilton. He was born March 15, 1921 in Charlestown, son of the late John & Katherine (Juckem) Kolbe.
    Leonard married Jean H. Seefeldt in April of 1955 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Appleton. Leonard & Jean farmed together, and worked side by side in everything they did including woodworking; Leonard would build something and Jean would paint it. Upon their retirement, Leonard occupied his time driving truck for the canning company.
    He had been a longtime member of St. Martin Catholic Church where he and Jean volunteered countless hours as the groundskeepers and janitors. He had also belonged to the Catholic Knights, the Holy Name Society and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and sturgeon spearing. Whether they went to Door County, Branson, or even Germany, Leonard and Jean enjoyed numerous travels together.
    Survivors include his sisters: Marcella Trimberger, Dorothy (Rudy) Brenner; sisters-in-law: Grace Kolbe & Janice Kolbe; and a brothers-in-law: Harold Brenner & Roger Seefeldt. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
    Leonard was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Jean; his siblings: Arthur Kolbe, Berthilda Brenner, Ottilia (Alfred) Daun, Roman (Rose) Kolbe, Andrew (Alice) Kolbe; and his in-laws: Mike Trimberger, Clara (Austin) Phillips, Marion (Edmund) Koutzke, Esther (Raymond) Weyenberg, & Hazel (Ervin) Zabinske.
    Funeral services will be at 11:00 am on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church (1724 Madison St.) in New Holstein. Burial will follow in the St. Martin Catholic Cemetery in Charlestown. Friends may call at the church from 9:00 am until 10:45 am on Tuesday, May 28, 2013.

    Carl Lewis Wolfinger, Sr., age 92, died peacefully on Thursday, September 19, 2013 at his home. Carl was born on January 26, 1921 in Darboy, Wisconsin son of the late John and Ida (Juckem) Wolfinger. He served his country during WWII with the United States Coast Guard from December 12, 1942 until October 19, 1945. On October 27, 1978 he was united in marriage to Janet Zastrow. They shared 35 wonderful years together. Carl was a member of St. Patrick's Parish of Stephensville. He was formerly employed with Thilmany Paper Company as a mill-worker for over 35 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening and was a member of the American Legion Post 2930 in Portage, Wisconsin.
    Carl is survived by his wife, Janet and his children, Carl (Marilyn) Wolfinger, Jr., Weyauwega; Betty Ann Van Dyke, Green Bay; Rosie Klauber, Shirley Wolfinger, Robert Wolfinger, all of Appleton; and Janet's children, Cheryl (Ervin) Fischer, Larsen; Patty (Herman) Griesbach, Kathy (Jack) Balke, Rick (Julie) Derks, all of Appleton; 25 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, a sister, Doris Mae Boehlein, Appleton; and by a sister-in-law, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.     Elmer P. Wolfinger, Darboy, passed away Thursday, October 25, 2007, at home after a short period of Lou Gehrig's disease at the age of 84. He was born December 29, 1922, to the late John and Ida (Juckem) in Darboy. He married the former Claire Van Thiel on 7/11/46 at St. John's Catholic Church in Little Chute, they celebrated 61 years of marriage on 7/11/07. Elmer was a hardworking husband and father and never wanted to quit. He loved the construction of homes and the people he built for of which there were many to be proud of in his 56 years in business. He enjoyed working with his two sons John and Jeff. Elmer also enjoyed the cottage since 1964, taking the family skiing and on rides on the pontoon. There was also fishing and snowmobiling for the winter. He made sure there was a good fire in the fireplace (like toast). Elmer enjoyed many activities, volleyball and badminton, couples bowling, golf, horse shoes, square dancing, dice games and sheephead. Trips to Jamaica, the Bahamas, Mexico and a few cruises were also enjoyed over the years. Elmer was proud and good to his family, and truly loved his children and grandchildren and the activities they enjoyed, especially basketball. His pride also showed in his garden and rose bushes and he always made sure the birds had enough seed. Elmer was an avid Packers Fan, especially when they were winning. His winning smile would always be there.

    Kathryn A. Spykerman, age 57, of Kaukauna, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at her home in Kaukauna. She was born January 22, 1955 in Fond du Lac, daughter of the late Andrew & Alice (Schmidt) Kolbe. She married Geary Spykerman on May 22, 1976 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in St. John. Kathy worked for numerous places through her life including Dr. Wagners in Hilbert, Farm and Home in Chilton, The Guardian Life Insurance Company in Appleton and most recently at School Specialty. In her free time, she enjoyed shopping with 'the girls' and looked forward to making candy around Christmas time. In recent years, she was given the gift of grandchildren and Kathy made the most of that gift. She devoted every ounce of energy she possessed to spending time with her grandchildren whom she loved dearly. Survivors include her husband: Geary of Kaukauna; her children: Kelly Spykerman of Kaukauna and his special friend April Davis, Deanna (Patrick) Hau of Kaukauna, Jennifer Spykerman of Kaukauna; 2 grandchildren: Izabell & Andrew Hau; 2 brothers and a sister: Kenneth (Nancy) Kolbe, Connie (Michael) Bailey, Steven (Lori) Kolbe; a brother-in-law: Daryl Lau; and a sister-in-law: Judy (Byron) Hacker. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister: Christine Lau. Funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Saturday, December 8, 2012 at the Wieting Family Funeral Home (411 W. Main St.) in Chilton. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00 am until 12:30 pm.

    Robert E. Wolfinger, age 50, of Appleton, passed away on December 31, 2014, at Appleton Medical Center, following a long battle with Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. Rob was born on May 10, 1964, in Appleton, to the late Carl, Sr. and Elizabeth (Van Heeswyk) Wolfinger.
    Rob was a gentle and loving soul, an inspiration to everyone he met. He was well-known for his optimism, his perseverance and strength, his genuinely kind heart, and his ability to see the good in any situation. Many have been blessed to have known Rob.
    Survivors include his brother and sisters, Carl (Marilyn) Wolfinger; Betty Ann Van Dyke (special friend, Del Delcore); Rosemary Wolfinger Klauber; and Shirley Wolfinger; and his step-mother, Janet Wolfinger and her family. Rob is further survived by an uncle and aunts, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
    Abiding by Rob's request, there will be no formal funeral services. A memorial has been established in Rob's name. The family would like to thank the staff at Appleton Medical Center and Parkside Care Center for their compassionate care. Thank you, Shirley, for your love and devotion to Rob. Also, Aunt Pat and Justin are thanked for their friendship. The Wichmann Funeral Home, 537 N. Superior Street, Appleton, is serving the family.
