See Image Edward J. Ryan - 407 Whitney S t. Kaukauna, Age 72, died Sunday afternoon after a long illness. He was bo rn July 22, 1903 in Combined Locks and lived most of his life in Kaukaun a. He had been employed at Thilmony Pulp and Paper Company for over 35 yea rs prior to his retirement in 1968. He was a member of the Thilmony Quart er Century Club and Kaukauna Moose Lodge, the AARP and the Kaukauna Athlet ic Club. He was Kaukauna Third Ward Alderman during the 40's and 50's , pa st member of Kaukauna Farming Commision and Board of Appeals. He was acti ve in Boy Scouting and the establishment of the Girl Scout Camp, Winnecom as in Kaukauna. He is survived by his wife, Margarite DeBrue Ryan; a daugh ter Mrs. George (Celine) Voris, Schaumberg, IL., two sons, Daniel, of Tipl er and Patrick, Kaukauna; two sisters Sister Benedict Katherine Ryan, Chic ago and Sister Maugerite Winnifred Ryan, Sinsinawa; and six grandchildre n. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Chur ch, Kaukauna with burial in the parish cemetery, The Rev. Richard Thomas w ill officiate.

Edward Ryan was involved in the paper making industry in Kaukauna. His wi fe Marge (Marguerite) graduated from Kaukauna High School in 1925 and t he Outagamie County Teacher Training School in 1927. She taught school f or 29 years at Riverview School in Black Creek, Little Chicago, Whisperi ng Pines at Appleton, St. John's, Little Chute, and Holy Angels in Darbo y. She and Edward were instrumental in the opening of Camp Winnecoma c, a Girl Scout day camp, in 1954.

Edward married DeBrue, Marguerite 16 Oct 1934, St. Mary Catholic Church, Kaukauna, Outagamie, Wisconsin, USA. Marguerite (daughter of DeBrue, Joseph and Flynn, Agnes) was born 17 Jun 1904, Kaukauna, Outagamie, Wisconsin, USA; died 24 Mar 1990, Kaukauna, Outagamie, Wisconsin, USA; was buried Aft 24 Mar 1990, St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Kaukauna, Wisconsin, USA.
