    Murphy, Helen M., Black Cree k, WisconsinHelen M. Murphy, age 83, died peacefully Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at t he Appleton Medical Center. The daughter of the late Arnold and Mary (Klap perick) Stephani, was born April 6, 1919 in Black Creek. She was unit ed in marriage to John Murphy on August 20, 1939 in Black Creek. Helen lov ed to be with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed putting puzzl es together and would never miss The Lawrence Welk Show on Saturday night s. She spent many hours selling Avon products to her family and many frien ds. Helen was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Black Creek and t he Christian Mother's Society.She is survived by her four sons and three daughters-in-law: Ronald (Sharo n) Murphy, Fond du Lac; Larry Murphy, Appleton; Dennis (Cindy) Murphy, App leton; Pat (Jackie) Murphy, Black Creek; 12 grandchildren: Mary, John, Suz y, Tracy, Michael, Cori, Beth, Sarah, Cindy, Susan, Robin, Tina; and eig ht great-grandchildren: Austin, Ashley, Dakota, Arnold III, Kevin, Jack, C harles, and Jacob. She is further survived by two sisters: Caroline (Mil o) Rettler and Marcella Rettler, all of Black Creek.Helen was preceded in death by her husband, John; a daughter, Sharon; a gr andson, Arnold II; three sisters and three brothers-in-law: Polly (Gene) W eyenberg, Isabel (Cyril) Fries, and Dorothy (Bill) Martzahl; also, two bro thers and three sisters-in-law: Leo (Ethel, and Vi) Stephani, and Ray (Mar y) Stephani.Friends may call at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Black Creek on Saturday, M arch 1, 2003 after 9 a.m. until the time of service. The Mass of Christi an Burial will be at 11 a.m. at the church with Father Paul Paider officia ting. The burial will be in the parish cemetery. The Muehl-Boettcher Funer al Home, Seymour is assisting the family.The family wishes to thank the staff on 4 North at the Appleton Medical Ce nter, and also a special thank you to all the caregivers from the County H ealth Program and the Good Shepherd Nursing Home.
