    Obituary:
    James "Jim" Hooyman, 81, De Pere, was called home Tuesday evening January 21, 2014. He was born April 15, 1932 to the late Peter and Marie (Heiman) Hooyman. On February 7, 1953 he married Donna Schaus at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. Jim was a veteran of the United States Army. He retired after working for Wisconsin Public Service for 42 years. Jim had also been the first Police Chief for the Village of Wrightstown, and a Captain for the Brown County Riot Squad. He was also a faithful member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family; having served as an usher at the 4:30pm Saturday Mass. Jim was also a proud member of the Abbot Pennings Council of the Knights of Columbus. Jim also served De Pere as an Alderman representing the 3rd Ward. He loved to Bowl, the outdoors, his time spent caring for his backyard animal friends, but especially the time spent with family and friends is what he treasured the most.
    He is survived by his wife, Donna, his children; Nancy (Brian) Kielpikowski, Linda (Jerry) Maleport, and Carrie (Mike) Pasterski. Jim's grandchildren; Tammy (Doug) Heim, Matt (Abby), and Brad Maleport, Brian Balza and Jeremy Pasterski. Five great grandchildren; Megan Rasmussen, Hunter and Madison Balza, and Lucas and Wesley Heim. Jim is further survived by his brother Richard (Barbara) Hooyman, one sister in law Mary Juley, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
    Jim was preceded in death by his son Scott Hooyman, his parents, Peter and Marie, siblings; Helen (Richard) Hansford, Dorothy (Orville) Leiterman, brothers in law; Robert Juley, and Roger (Marie) Schaus.
    Friends may call at the RYAN FUNERAL HOME 305 N. Tenth Street in De Pere from 4 - 8pm Friday, January 24, 2014. Visitation will continue after 9am Saturday at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish Family, corner of Lourdes Ave. and Suburban Drive in De Pere. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30am with Fr. Tim Shillcox O.Praem officiating. Entombment to follow in the Allouez Catholic Mausoleum.     Hooyman, Scott "Sco tty"Scott "Scotty" Hooyman, 44, De Pere, was called home late Sunday evenin g, Jan. 22, 2006. The son of James and Donna (Schaus) Hooyman was born Ju ne 10, 1961, in Green Bay. Scotty was a graduate of D. C. Everest High Sch ool in Schofield. He worked for Paper Converting Company for 13 years pri or to his illness. He enjoyed his time at ASPIRO and was a very social you ng man who enjoyed his work and his many friends.Survivors include his parents, Jim and Donna Hooyman, De Pere; three siste rs and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Brian Kielpikowski, Green Bay; Linda a nd Jerry Maleport, De Pere; and Carrie and Mike Pasterski, Green Bay; h is nieces and nephews, Tammy and Doug Heim, Brian Balza, Matt and Brad Mal eport, Jeremy Pasterski; great-niece and nephew, Megan Rasmussen and Hunt er Balza; Godparents, Richard and Barb Hooyman; in addition to aunts, uncl es and cousins.Friends may call at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 305 N.
