Mrs. George (Mathilda) Moehring
120 West Fifth St., Kaukauna Age 93, passed away early Saturday. She was born November 28, 1877 in Germany. She was a resident of Oshkosh from the time she was five years old until her marriage. She lived at Shiocton for forty-five years and had been a Kaukauna resident for the past 24 years. Survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Vernon (Helen) Mullen of Kaukauna and one brother, Joseph Nigl also of Kaukauna. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Kaukauna. Interment will be in St. Denis Cemetery at Shiocton. Friends may call at the Greenwood Funeral Home after 2:00 p.m. Sunday. There will be a prayer service at 8:00 p.m. Sunday.

Obituary:
Helen Mullen, age 92, Kaukauna, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 19, 2007, at the Appleton Medical Center. She was born in Milwaukee on March 5, 1915, daughter of the late George and Mathilda (Nigl) Moehring. On September 1, 1941, Helen married Vernon Mullen at St. Denis Catholic Church in Shiocton; he preceded her in death in 1988. As a young woman, Helen attended the Oshkosh Business College, and worked at Coffey Motors in Kaukauna. She enjoyed playing cards and belonged to several different card clubs, and was also an avid lover of cats. Helen was also a longtime and faithful member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Kaukauna.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Lillian Mullen, Kaukauna; six nieces: Kathy (Jerry) Frank, Kaukauna; Jeanne (Roger) Van Der Linden, Kaukauna; Mary (Danny) Lee, Little Chute; Patti (Joe) Bangart, Menasha; Sue (Mike) Schneider, Kaukauna; and Laurie (Curt) Howerton, Appleton; and a cousin, Marcus (Betty) Nigl, Kaukauna, as well as her dearest friend, Virginia Radloff, formerly of Kaukauna.
The funeral liturgy for Helen will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 24, 2007, at ST. MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 119 W. 7th Street in Kaukauna, with Fr. Jerry Pastors officiating. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends may call directly at the church on Saturday morning from 9 a.m. until the hour of the services. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
