Matilda 'Tillie' Blattner, 82, Sauk Rapids,Jun 19, 2000 Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church for Mati lda M. 'Tillie' Blattner, 82, who died Monday at St. Benedict's Cent er in St. Cloud. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Dingmann Family Funeral Hom e, Sauk Rapids. Daughters of Isabella will pray at 4 p.m. Wednesday at t he funeral home in Sauk Rapids followed by parish prayers at 6 and St. Mon ica's Society at 6:30.Matilda Blattner was born near Pearl Lake to Martin and Margaret (Kreme r) Neis. She married Kenneth C. Blattner on Oct. 26, 1946, at St. Mary's C athedral in St. Cloud. She was a homemaker and lived in Sauk Rapids mo st of her married life. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Churc h; member and past president of St. Monica's Society; and a member of Daug hters of Isabella and St. Stephen Mission Society. She was past preside nt and volunteered for 25 years for the St. Cloud Hospital Auxiliary and w as a member and past president of Sauk Rapids Lioness Club.Survivors include son and daughter, Ken of St. Cloud, and Linda Watts of E agan; sister, Frances Minette of Duluth; and five grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband on March 29, 1989; brothers and s isters, Raymond, Aloys, Leonard, Clarence, Olivia Boethin, Louise Volbe rt and Mary Neis. Memorials are preferred to Poor Clares Monastery, Sauk R apids.
