Rusch, Eugene H., "Gene" "Pop s"Eugene H. "Gene" "Pops" Rusch, Townsend, formerly of Appleton, age 64 di ed on Saturday, July 12, 2003 at Appleton Medical Center. He was born in O shkosh on November 6, 1938. On January 19, 1963 he married Rosemary Bies e, she preceded him in death on June 29, 2002. He was a veteran servi ng in the Marines. Gene was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Townse nd. Gene enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, talki ng with people, yardwork and his dog, Chef.He will be sadly missed by his children: Patty Newell, Green Bay; Karen (S teve) Gosse, Greenville; Ken Rusch, Appleton; sister: Donna (Tim) Prous e, Appleton; grandchildren: Missy (fiance: Mitch) Niemuth, Brandon Goss e, Garrett Newell, Hayley Monday, Brianna Rusch, great grandson: Hunter Ma rquart, other relatives and friends.In addition to his wife he was preceded in death by his mother Leila Mauri tz.The Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at 11 a.m. at t he Star Hope Chapel in Highland Memorial Park. The visitation will be on W ednesday at the chapel from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial has been established.Dad, We know your heart was aching and you needed to be with Mom, it is n ot easy to say goodbye and we are going to miss you, but we take comfo rt in knowing you are with Mom once again.
