    Obituary:
    Barbara Jane (Hartzheim) Hinkens, age 75, of Appleton, died Sunday, May 5, 2013. She was born July 20, 1937 in Appleton, to the late Wilfred and LaVerne (Zimmerman) Hartzheim. She graduated from Appleton High School in 1955 and on May 24, 1958 married Daryl Hinkens. Barb enjoyed camping, traveling and playing Sheepshead. She was a member of the Skip-a-Stitch club and was very active volunteer for St Mary Catholic Church. She enjoyed attending the State Fair and was an avid Brewers fan, she attended as well as watched the games on TV. Her passion though, was her grandchildren. She loved spending time with them and watching their sporting events.
    Barb is survived by; her husband, Daryl, sons; Greg (Mary) and Gary (Becky), grandchildren; Jaxson Hinkens, Erin and Bailey Kemps, Garrison, Carleigh and Reid Hinkens, sister, Jacki (David) Swiecichowski, sisters and brothers in law; Beata (Dick) Hahn, Mary Hinkens, Ginny Hinkens and Bonnie (Don) Thews; and special aunts; Marion Hagenson and Rita DeBruin. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
    Preceding her in death are; her daughter, Patricia Hinkens, brother, Billy Hartzheim, brothers in law Romy Hinkens and J. Duane Hinkens.
    The funeral mass for Barbara will be held at 10:30am, Thursday, May 9, 2013 at St Mary Catholic Church, 312 S State St. Appleton, with the Rev. Fr. Jim Leary OFM Cap. officiating. Family and friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, from 4:00pm to 7:00pm, and again at the church Thursday, from 9:00am until the time of service.
    In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established by the family.
    The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at AMC, the nurses and doctors that helped take care of Barb, and Theda Care at Home Hospice nurses for all of their care and concern for Barb. Also, special thank you to Deacon Jerry Schrafnagel, Deacon Jeff Prickett, Father Jim Leary and pastor Dan Thews for their visits with Barb.

    Hinkens, Patricia M. "Patt i"Patricia M. Hinkens, age 45, passed away Monday, October 24, 2005, at Sai nt Michael's Hospital, Stevens Point. She was born in Appleton on March 1 7, 1960, to Daryl and Barbara (Hartzheim) Hinkens. Patti was an energet ic person. She went to local Nursing Facilities to visit with the residen ts and she brought along a petting dog. She joined young children with the ir reading time at schools. She loved music, bowling and shopping and al so jazz concerts.Patricia is survived by her parents, Daryl and Barbara Hinkens, two brothe rs: Greg (special friend, Mary Kemps) Hinkens of Appleton; and Gary (Beck y) Hinkens of Appleton; two nephews: Jaxson and Garrison Hinkens, a niec e, Carleigh Hinkens, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and special frien ds at Aurora and Adult Services. She was preceded in death by her grandparents.Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 27, 200 5, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 312 S. State Street, Appleton with Fath er Mike O'Rourke officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until t he time of service at the church.
